Turtle Beach Bar — Restaurant in Lake Havasu City

The best things about this beach bar are that you can dock your boat and grab a meal and bring your dogs! Well behaved dogs are allowed to enjoy the beach bar and you can catch a great view of the lake if you can find a table by the shore. The pina colada I ordered was already a bit melted by the time it got to me and didn't have much alcohol in it, though it did taste great and came with a plastic souvenir cup. The BBQ sandwich was flavorful and delicious, but the coleslaw was $4 extra. Since I'm from the south, I'm used to slaw coming with BBQ or at least being more like a 75 cent upcharge. The server should have noted that it was $4 when ordered rather than saying it was "a little extra." The tuna wrap was weak. The tuna itself was cooked perfectly, but lacked in seasoning. The rest of the wrap was sort of non-existent and gummy. The large portion of fries that came with both meals were perfectly cooked. We had a hard time catching the server to get the water we ordered when we sat down and a fork for the BBQ. He did bring us a pitcher of water towards the end of the meal once we were able to get his attention. Overall, the Turtle Beach Bar is what I would expect from a beach bar-sticky menus, young servers that seem hung over, and decent bar food, but nothing spectacular. I would return just because you're right on the lake and can bring your dogs, but would order a beer instead of a mixed drink and try their pizzas or...

They Stole From Me — Don’t Let Them Do It to You

What started as a fun night quickly turned into one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had at a bar. It was the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, the place was packed, the vibe was great, and I ordered drinks for my friends and myself. Our total came to $30 — or so I thought.

When I got home and checked my bank statement, I saw I had been charged $50. Confused, I called the manager at the Nautical Inn. He sent me a copy of the receipt, and that’s when I saw it: the waitress had forged my signature and tipped herself $20.

Yes, you read that right. She stole from me, in plain sight, on a busy night — and when I reported it, the manager didn’t even write her up. No accountability. No apology. Just a shrug, like this happens all the time. Honestly, it probably does.

I filed a police report, but that doesn’t fix what happened — and it won’t stop it from happening again if management keeps turning a blind eye.

If you don’t want your money stolen and your trust violated, stay far away...

Local here, been several times and the food has only been going down hill over the years. Definitely not a priority but they charge for it like it is. Ice cold fish (also not hand battered as advertised, obviously from a box of frozen sticks). Ordered another option, well done, and received rare with wrong side. Sent back and expressed our overall dissatisfaction with all of the meals, with just an “I’m sorry”. Incorrect charges on bills, only one menu for the whole table (was told there weren’t any more despite being the only table sat). Drinks were ok, but the server didn’t know what was in some of them or what options there were. The view is all that’s worth visiting for, but no umbrellas were available in case it got windy.
