Wonderful "family" park & a HUGE park with LOTS of things to entertain the children! Go Check It Out! But, sorry There's A Strict - NO SMOKING NEAR CHILDREN & NO PETS/DOGS ALLOWED AT "THIS" PARK and the police Do! patrol this park OFTEN... ESPECIALLY in the summer time & some people "will" report you. So, If you have a human child & a [friendly] dog/s then, visit the "London Bridge Beach Park" on the island, across the London Bridge, it has a dog park "Lions park" or go to "Avalon Park" or "Sara Park"... These parks have an area for your human child/ren & fur legged one/s. & If you smoke, STAY AWAY FROM CHILDREN while your smoking - stand in parking lots. Also, there's no boating launching from this park.
At Rotary Park - There's a big green grassy area [good for throwing frisbees or for letting your little energy filled child run some of their energy out 😉]. Downside - There's No Restrooms "near" this area! There's another green grassy area across the driveway with trees & shade for picnics or for just relaxing [while listening to the boats on the lake &/or birds & people] plus, covered picnic tables & there are restrooms "near" this area. There is: a "Toddler's Only" playground with covered picnic tables next to it. [Downside - No restrooms "near it so, pack plenty of diapers/pull-ups/spare undies & clothes + wipes]; a "Handicap Accessible" playground [there's a restroom a little distance from it on the lakeside near covered picnic tables]; an "Older Children" [12 & under] playground [there's a restroom RIGHT NEXT TO THIS AREA! - & it's across the driveway from the handicap playground near the baseball fields]. My opinion, the restroom locations at the parks in this town are poorly located & there should be 1 by toddler park for those being potty trained & 1 should be by the grassy area without trees and 1 should be by the picnic tables near the "Park Host". There is: a Skateboard/BMX park; an area for swimming in Lake Havasu; a sandy beach with covered picnic tables; a swing set on the beach; Volleyball nets; a Bocce ball area; specific distance walking paths/routes to choose from for exercise; & lots of benches "all along" the walkways - so you can rest or watch your family, people, birds or the action on & in the lake and the beautiful sunsets. There's 3 parking lots & maybe 1 up by skateboard/bmx park. Oh yeah plus, they're a lot of in memory of plaques throughout the park making it a very...
Read moreRotary park is so well set up. There are lots of things to do there. RC Track, launch your kayak from the sandy shore or just play by the water, walk paths thru out, 2 play grounds one for the little tikes and one for elementary aged kids, skate park, bath rooms, covered ramadas and seating, bbqing and volley ball courts. You however, can not have dogs out there (or alcohol) but the good news for our fur babies is there are several dog parks in town and the dog bar on West Acoma. So, our community has them in mind as well. I went for a line dance session at Rotary Park. So, at this time there are still CDC requirements for masks in large groups outside. I was not happy with that. I was out doors and my mask isn't made to hang on my arm to show I had it. As for this park thou it is a very very nice set up, covered in lush green grass and very...
