On a cross country road trip in which the dogs had spent far too long in the back of the car. We were looking for a place for them to unwind run around, get exhausted, meet some friends and have a good time. Mine's dog park turned out to provide all of that and more. There are several big large trees to provide shade a covered area with benches seats for the humans. Everyone we met was very friendly. There was a lot of sniffing but no aggression and everybody seemed very calm and mellow as well as the humans on and on a five-star appearance. The park is very well kept way better than normal...
Read moreAs dog parks go, Lion's Park is a nice amenity for locals and visitors to use. The large enclosure has double gate entrances and potty bags 'o plenty. There is a circular concrete walkway, grassy areas, and a water feature in the center. Concrete picnic tables dot the perimeter in the shade for a place to rest or hang out. Some dogs are hard to control off-leash subjecting other dogs and their owners to "bad behavior" inside the fence, but the larger London Bridge Park where Lion's Park is located, is also pet friendly so feel free to walk your dog on-leash anywhere along the west side...

Humans smelling dogs' and other humans' backsides are strictly prohibited here.) More dogs here than in years past, but every one was on their best behavior, and would even stop roughhousing upon approaching our 13 y/o Belgian, out of deference for her age.
