August 2020 Ashley from Baxter’s called to confirm our reservation today. She was both friendly and even asked if we were celebrating anything. I thought it was a nice touch on the reservation confirmation. When we arrived, we were seated almost immediately. Our view was spectacular at the corner of two large floor-to-ceiling windows. April was our server for dinner. She made great recommendations, was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious!! We ordered the carpaccio and calamari for appetizers, and house red cab for our beverage. For meals, the four kids ordered burgers and chicken and the rest of us ordered steak and fish. Not one complaint. The food was perfect! This foodie definitely couldn’t pass up dessert, so I ordered the brownie. Sooooo good!
July 2019 came here for my birthday tonight with my family of six (two adults and four kids under the age of 9). We requested a window table but was notified that it would be busy tonight and might not happen. They improvised and put us second tier from the window. Basically it is a booth that faces the window but you have a table between you and the window. Still stunning views so no complaints here. Bryan was our waiter tonight. He was quick and friendly despite having what seemed like MANY tables. He made fabulous recommendations and made sure it was a memorable birthday.
March 2019 This is in my top three favorite places to get a steak locally. I love the ambiance here and rarely have poor service. Ashley at the hostess stand got our group of four quickly for dinner. Nicole was friendly and made great suggestions. The blue cheese potatoes are out of this world!! I’m not typically a fan of blue cheese but I honestly didn’t notice an overwhelming blue cheese taste. Do yourself a favor and grab a drink at the bar if you’ve gotta wait for a table. You won’t be disappointed in the magnificent views of the...
Read moreI’ve been here twice now and I will base this review between the two visits. Lunch was delicious best salmon I’ve had in a very long time! My order was correct, my water was always filled and we had enough waitresses chipping in that I forgot which one was the actual one. Pictures below are from this visit. Second visit during dinner time was slightly less pleasing. The waiter did just fine but it seemed like they had less help & were more busy. I ordered the same meal as I did for the lunch except they forgot the Cajun seasoning at first & when the waiter noticed he brought me a new dish without me really saying much. The downfall is that he took the food I had in front of me which I understand but then I had to sit there hungry and when the food came it wasn’t as good as the previous visit. We did try two different deserts this trip and both were very good so you can’t go wrong there! My husband had steak which he requested Cajun rub and it was barely existent. I think the cooks were maybe just rushed or a different person was leading the dinner crew. The price point is Fantastic for the quality of food. We plan to return many more times. Only giving 4 stars due to consistency of service and quality of food being different from lunch to dinner.
Edited to add: trip 3- busy holiday weekend and dinner was great! We haven’t tried anything here we didn’t like. It’s becoming one of our favorite places to dine. We’ve tried all of the desserts now and they’re all good! Drinks are good! Steak, Ahi, and salmon all good! Shrimp and scallops are also very good. We took our kids and they loved it as well!
Trip 4 &5- we’re addicted lol Busy day after Valentine’s Day reservation- only complaint is that I ran out of water and it didn’t get refilled within a reasonable amount of time. I made her get me a to-go cup before I left though to make...
Read moreWe had reservations last night just after sunset. I reserved a window seat in advance and was told maybe, they will try. We arrived 15 mins early, however, they seated us reasonably quick considering the number of people in the restaurant.
We were seated in a booth away from the window when one was available. I didn't want to make a scene so I just accepted the seating arrangement. It was unpleasantly dark in there. My mom traveled down to visit (73) had to use a flashlight just to read the menu.
Our waitress seemed aggravated from the get-go. I asked before ordering our meal about the soup of the day. It was a simple question, however, I felt like she snapped at me cause she wanted to explain something else first.
Well we ordered, Food was super slow. However, the crab cake was ok, the salad, well the best dressing I had in awhile. After waiting 45 mins, our steaks arrived cold and rare. I ordered mine well. I have to say unfortunately that was the worst steak I ever ate, and I didn't eat much of it. If you are going to offer a $50 dollar steak on the menu, learn how to cook it. Especially caramelized onions. They were just soggy and just thrown on top.
I am a local here for 11 years. They use to be a good restaurant, but they are on a downward slope. The food is priced right, just flavorless, and not worth leaving your own grill.
The unfortunate fate of my girlfriend ended up vomiting most of the early morning hours uncontrollably from the food she ate. I did not sleep last night. I will never return to this restaurant ever again. So much potential, just not worth my money in hard times like this.
I hope your experience is much...
