On this day, we opted to go inside, specifically because I wanted a taco salad, which is not exactly an on-the-go meal.. lol. There was 1 gentleman in front of us.. he seemed to be off to the side, as if he had already ordered.. so we asked him how long he'd been waiting. "Bout 5 minutes." Ugh... we decided to stay - we were already there, and it couldn't be much longer. We chatted with the gentleman for a good while (5 more minutes or so), and were acknowledged by the gal behind the counter once or twice .. "So sorry.. I'll be there as soon as I possibly can". Once we ordered, my husband, who used to manage a Hardees while he was in college in the 90s, noticed there were only 3 employees. Total. Counter, drive thru, food service, the whole bit. 3 employees. This made our almost 10 minute wait cheesecake compared yo what they're accomplishing!! Those three were busting their rumps, getting food out as quickly as they could, and ACCURATE, I might add!! Another couple came in, stating they too were former employees and from that location. Knowing how short staffed they were, one of them ordered a custom made shake.. something different had to be done than a "usual" shake. The gal in front (who is the manager) didn't hesitate for one second. She made the shake just as he had requested, and did it very quickly. All 3 of them had great attitudes, given I'm sure they're all being stretched to the limits!!
Admittedly, we were initially frustrated at how long things were taking, but as soon as we recognized what was going on BEHIND the counter, extra patience was easy to find.
The crew from that day deserves extra kudos!! We were there on Sunday, June...
Read moreI went to this location after work a couple weeks ago for the first time. I've been to other Hardee's locations and have always been a fan of their burgers. At this location I ordered a 1/3 lb. burger. The girl at the drive-thru was very pleasant. I got my burger, stopped at a gas station and went home to put up my feet and enjoy the burger. 10 Minutes passed at the most from the time I got it to the time I opened it. My heart sank. The patty was a 1/4 lb. It was rubbery and dry. Not a single drop of moisture in it. Worst of all, and even more proof of how old this burger patty was, the slice of cheese placed on it 10 minutes prior never melted and was still cold!! YUCK!! I was so disappointed and told everyone about it. I've had all kinds of weird and oddball sandwiches from fast food joints. I've had sandwiches I didn't order. I've had things missing from or things left on that I wanted off of my sandwiches. I've NEVER had a burger patty so old that the cheese never melted. EVER. I'm 50! Anyone that's spent even one day working fast food knows they have a set time that a burger is deemed bad and must be discarded. This patty went way beyond the specified time. It went way beyond what I would allow a patty to sit out at my own home. I can't even look at the place when I drive by it now. I honestly hope no one gets food poisoning from eating there. I didn't even bother to contact them, I don't want anything they have in there, ever....
Read moreI love Hardee's for breakfast. Closest one to us is Lake St Louis, however, I will not be going there again any time soon. The parking lot I'd gross not to mention the entryway. Stuff stuck in the corners. Uoin going to the counter, 3 employees and a manager were havibg a conversation. They saw us and became busy. Ordering the food was fine. Very nice well kept young man took our order - gave us our cups. There were 3 ants in my cup after getting my soda. I poured it out and took the cup to the young man. Asked him to please get me a new cup and stated some one needed to clean the soda machine. His comment "we are working that". After getting our food no one went to check the soda machine let alone clean it. The young man wondered around behind the counter and only had 1 other customer after us. I didn't speak to a manager and kept my voice low when asking for a new cup. I don't know if they did anything after we left, but I won't be...
