Let me start by saying I love barracos.... Until today. Normally I go to the 95th street location. After checking online and seeing they were open we were on our way grinning from ear to ear. They were closed. On to the next location.... Strike2! Carry out only. On to the Next location. After a 10 min wait we we're seated at the back of the restaurant. Wait staff flew by continuously at their duties. Our server barley made eye contact. Our request for another seat away from the busy area was not only denied but ignored. We waited patiently. But not for too long. Our pizza placed on the plates we dug in. It was delicious.... But what's that extra flavor???? PORK! We ordered a vegetarian pizza with chicken and someone thought it nice to throw in pork. I was even blamed by the staff for not being clear. I politely went to the desk showing the young lady where she wrote my order. Oh. She says there must have been done mix up. ... No apology nothing. We sat waiting for our order to be remade another 20 min.
After asking for the manager and giving her the accounts she only gave us a what do you want me to do. Normally she says we give free dessert or a percentage off for the inconvenience however I was not offered anything.
Good service appears to be important to this establishment.... Until they are serving who?
Who wants to sit hungry staring at a pizza you can't eat for 20 min....
Read moreIf you’re looking for a decent enough Italian spot, the food is a 3/5. The service from the bartenders are always good, 4/5. But unfortunately they have to work in a restaurant that discriminates. I came in with several coworkers after work one night. Please keep in mind that the restaurant part was closed so there were no families or children in the building. The bar area was open and only open to 21+ patrons. They have a juke box (touch tunes) that customers are allowed to play there on music on for a price. Every time any rap or urban music was played, the song was skipped and our money wasted. I’ve been a patron here multiple times and the first time this happened I let it go. But now I see it is a pattern. After our 3rd song was skipped, one of us approached the manager and asked why certain songs were being skipped. The manager replied “we don’t play rap music” his demeanor and tone was very rude and dismissive. He told us that we had to contact touch tunes to fix the issue when we clearly see the staff members purposely skipping songs. Why offer a juke box if you only want certain music played. I felt very discriminated against. Once again, I could understand if the music was played during restaurant hours but only the bar was open and we were all adults there. My several coworkers (10) and I will NOT returning. What a disappointment to what could’ve been...
Read moreI was very disappointed with the customer service this last Saturday, 10/12/24. I went in to grab a few drinks at the bar and was stopped immediately by a worker and was told I had to pay $40 for a wristband that included only certain types drinks (beer & wine I think). I was obviously confused, because why would you tell a customer what they’re going to drink, and make them pay for it lol. The worker could tell I was confused and I had asked why/is this a new thing? I’ve been to this location numerous times without a problem. She told me there was a golf outing and that the after party was there (something along those lines). I explained that I wasn’t apart of the golf outing and she still said I could not go into the bar area without purchasing this $40 wristband. It’s disappointing to see they were turning away costumers because of this. My main problem with this wristband thing was that I don’t drink beer, I wanted to go have a few high noons. So why would I buy the wristband when I can’t get the drink I want? I thought this was ridiculous and I couldn’t believe they were turning away paying customers. Coming from a cousin of the barracos, I was shocked they denied us entry and let paying...
