Caribbean Jerk Corner — Restaurant in Lake Township

Once you can open the front door the Caribbean Jerk Corner will excite you with their menu. 10 star food!!! The food is cooked with passion, full of flavor, and served in hearty portions. They make sure to put plenty of sauce on your meat and rice. The day we went our food was fresh off the burner. 1 star deduction due to container failure and my sides were wrong. One of the styrofoam containers melted through on the macaroni and cheese side. Also, my sides were wrong. Next time I'll double check my order. The cabbage, sweet potatoes, and mac-n-cheese are good choices. The red beans and rice are good too. The part that got me was the oxtails! They were large, perfectly rendered and succulent. I was told the curry goat tasted great. Give them a try.

August 23, 2025. Rohan and Lorraine (I'll correct it the next time I drop by) kind are personable. I appreciate the freshness of the food. I taste fresh ginger with every bite of my oxtails with peas and rice. They make their beans fresh not from a can. The yams and plantains are sweet and delicious.

I would also like to add... I don't eat jerk chicken (spicy) but my fiancé does. He was trying all of the local 'jerk chicken' spots until I brought him here. He comes here if he is craving an authentic Jamaican meal, he comes here period. Curry goat or jerk chicken, and champagne cola. The portions are big just like you'd get at your families house on a Sunday or holiday. They aren't serving bistro portions, come on Rohan is Jamaican. We've never had a bad meal here. As a Jamaican-American, I was so happy to see a place seeming to service authentic Jamaican food. With a Jamaican chef, I thought I happened on food gold. I was wrong. After tasting what was said to be curry goat (it was watered down, I decided to get a beef patty. It was the worst beef patty I'd ever had. It didn't taste like a Jamaican beef patty. The baked shell was chewy as if it wasn't fully baked. The meat inside the patty was dry and tasted like dirt. It was so bad that I went back a month later and told the chef that he owed me a redo on the patty. He gave me another one. It was better. "This one is fresh," he said. "Just out of the oven." The Cashier which I believe was the owner talking all on the phone will I’m trying to order , I ordered a Jamaican patty very dry and brittle and a half dark with macaroni n cheese yams and the red bean and rice comes with it . Everything was very nasty I could not finish the jerk sauce was kinda good but everything was bad macaroni look liked it had been cooked weeks ago no cheese very dry the chicken was not even good only with the sauce . The red beans and rice were overcooked and sticky very disgusting. I really wanted my money back . Do not eat here they use the same food over and over again until it’s gone .
