La Baguette Bakery — Restaurant in Lake Township

I will be filing a complaint with the Department of BUSINESS AFFAIRS AND CONSUMER PROTECTION as well as the Better Business Bureau... This place qualifies for the perfect Sanitation violation. Their pictures online are not what the place looks like in person. It is in bad condition, their coffee table sits near their entrance door exposed to air pollution, coffee area was dirty, their bakery section was in bad condition, door covers were dirty, bread looked stale and dry, some look like they have been sitting there for days, some bread was out uncovered, there were bugs all over the place, the chef doesn’t wear proper attired for cooking, the Mexican waitress was on her phone the entire time, she was very rude, ignorant, not helpful whatsoever, uneducated, had poor knowledge about the food and bread, terrible attired for work, did not know the prices right. My food was not served as I asked and on top of that their prices are to high. Worst Mexican restaurant and bakery place I have been to in Chicago. Their seems to be other places with the same name. If this place falls under sanitation violation I wonder if those other...

They make amazing bread but stay away from their tacos or dinners. They have no business making tacos or dinners. Their beans were super cold like if they came out of the freezer I addressed it to them and they looked at me and did nothing. I did not leave them a tip, but I should’ve left them a tip by telling them to stay away from making tacos Saturday ate across the street a little hole in the wall called international grocery stores and they have a little taco stand behind it. That is probably one of the best tacos I’ve ever but I wanted to try this place because it had a bread shop in thereand I’ve known this bread shop for years. I will never come any tacos...

I like the bread they sell here and I usually get a great service. I’m a regular here. Today a young lady with dark blonde hair was at the front and didn’t spoke a word to me. She didn’t greet me, no smile no thankyou. Just give me my total price. She made me feel like I didn’t matter. I told her to add a slice of cake to my total. And as soon as she ring me up and she turned around and started giving direction to the blonder young girl. I waited as she finish and I ask if I could have my slice of cake now. Again no smile no sorry. Just plain “here is your stuff now go away” vibe. I like the older ladies they do know how to give great...
