Mr. Submarine — Restaurant in Lake Township

Eww! The WORST Pastrami sandwhich I have EVER had! Mush meat and overloaded with mustard "sauce"! Ewwww! Gross! And to make matters worse, there is no place to complain to Online - no Customer Service nor any Quality Control! If you want mustard bread w wilted lettuce & a smidgen of mush-meat that pretends to be Pastrami than have at-it! But for me its "Never Never Again!! "

💥 UPDATE: 💥 Now 3 Stars * * * 💥 The owner of this franchise reached out to me via email and told me that I could receive a full refund as long as there was at least a half of sandwhich left. I did not finish it as it was exactly as pictured, but really had to go to my kitchen garbage to get it out (still sealed in their bag & new G-bag) and indeed they did give me a full refund!

Not only that but the Manager, Tina, whom was on duty gave me a sampling of their Chocolate Creme Pie and a Cookie! She was not only great in her demeanor but was an open (& honest) communicator as well... Refreshing!!

I understand it's not easy finding good help esp after this plandemic... So her approach in handling the situation was a "breath-of-fresh-air" & was greatly appreciated. Thank you Mr. Submarine, you have definitely...

I love when a small business is proactive in asking for performance reviews and asking for a chance in person to correct a possible negative experience and turn it into a positive one. (They asked near the checkout and on one of the monitors with scrolling images on the wall) It’s great that they realize in this post-Covid, hyper inflated economy, losing even one customer is a tough pill to swallow and competition for dollars is fierce. Nice clean new building and interior. Even the parking lot seemed tidy. Ordered four custom sandwiches, all neatly wrapped, seemingly made with care, and clearly labeled. The bread seemed fresh. Only thing I can take points off for was the fries. Little mushy, but the rest was great. Mushrooms weren’t frozen in the middle. Ordered extra meat; and actually got extra meat. The staff was the shining star, all very friendly, patient, attentive and speedy. You go to a lot of places today and their food is drastically different than years gone by. Service was excellent, Kim was very nice and professional. I was greeted by Kim and I told her this was my first time at Mr. Submarine, she was very cheerful and welcomed me and another customer that said it was her first time there too. I ordered their original Mr. Sub (ham, salami, chopped ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, sauce.) I used a coupon (BOGO free) Not a bad deal! When I got home and shared one of the subs with my wife,,,, I got to say my expectations about the sandwich were a little high, I thought, if the lady from the sandwich shop was that nice and excited about having new costumers it was because the sandwiches are good, rich in flavor and stuffed with a little more of everything. Well, the sub was a little skinny and I was not able to taste or find the flavor of the sauce that is supposed to be on the sub, very little lettuce, onion, etc etc. That is the reason I am giving only 3 ⭐⭐⭐ on food.
