Waldo Cooneys Pizza — Restaurant in Lake Township

When I didn’t know, that my money that I had to get me through Labor Day weekend, last weekend would be taken by Uber eats when I canceled the order because I didn’t know that sausage was on there from Uber. Eats lack of information given once order was going through. I canceled with seconds of placing order and they (Uber Eats) still kept my money. Even after I called to check and see how the order been already started with Waldo Cooneys. It, in fact, had not. I explained to Uber eats, why I canceled, and that that was the only money I had to get me through the Labor Day weekend from helping my children survive in this turbulent economy. They did not care that I would’ve been starving. And they would’ve taken my $51.46 and I will have nothing but a canceled order that was paid for.

I called this establishment back and told them the situation with Uber Eats. And after a small bit of understanding, these guys actually allowed me to get my pizza and gave me more to drink than I ordered. So I promised that I would leave them a great review. And I had $10 in cash for emergencies that I gave to them for a tip. Because they didn’t have to do it. But they sure did. And I appreciate them more than they know and I always miss pizza from Chicago whenever I’m in town (Harvey native). I’m a truck driver and was stuck in Bedford Park until Tuesday. They help me survive.

I've been coming here over 10 years and I never had a problem love their food until today I order online and was given the worse service. First off I order jumbo and we were given up to 15 pieces and it's usually larger and it was so thin and they had the nerve to either over cooked it or give old ass pizza to me from two days ago. This Waldo's never tasted like this, it taste like I was eating box pizza from out the freezer in the grocery store. On top of that I came on time when they claim it would be ready and the pizza was very cold, if it was made fresh and put in the warmer why is the food cold? I called to complain and get a refund or food made over and the manager was very rude. I believe they are under new management because the short fat wide Latino guy was so nice and whoever in management now is very rude and can not take criticism for his whack ass cooking. I'm so disappointed in the Waldo's that I grew up on that I use to go to every Thursday and Saturday for their special now they lost a regular customer that comes in their a lot. This establishment is ridiculous. The owner and staff are extremely rude. I've been ordering pizza from them for years. They are not the best in the neighborhood but they stay open the longest, so I order moreso out of convience. I just ordered last week and attempted to order again today. The staff told me I'm no longer allowed to order from them because of an issue from December. Keep in mind, I order almost every week. Then they would not tell me what the issue is that supposedly occurred in December. I will tell you the issue. There was a day in December that I decided to buy the office staff pizza. I placed an order and they used a third party delivery service. I waited hours and called numerous times looking for my order. The driver never delivered my pizza. I complained and filed a complaint with the owner and my bank. That was the proper way to handle the situation, seeing as how I never received my order. I ended up having to place a new order with a different establishment. People spend your money else where. We spend to much money buying food to be disrespected in...
