Nick's Gyros — Restaurant in Lake Township

I ordered a Salad and wings from Nick's and it turned into the worse customer service interaction I've ever had. Here's how it went.

Before I made my order via Uber Eats I called Nick's to verify that I could in fact order hotwings fried without flour due to my gluten intolerance. They confirmed that I could order fourless wings, so I placed the order via Uber eats with the specifications in the notes. When I recieved my order the salad was fine, But the wings were breaded. No biggie right? I'm sure the restaurant will accommodate me...WRONG. I called them back and whoever I spoke to told me the manager wasn't in but would be back in 5mins. I called back and was told that the manager was now there, but they couldn't find them.... Eventually the employee on the phone told me to just come up there...so I did... once there, I was met by a middle aged woman with rotting bottom teeth and a singular tooth at the top that she strategically covered with her top lip due to an obvious insecurity...I calmly and respectfully explained to her what happed, but she did not care....She cut me off every chance she got and told me all I wanted was free chicken wings. She says, "if you had a problem with the chicken, where's the chicken at..how can we exchange chicken that we don't have...she continuously got loud with me and cut me off, while pointed to a policy sign that I couldn't have ever seen, given that I ordered from uber eats. We had a highly disrespectful 15min exchange that left me baffled, so much so that I thought I was at the wrong restaurant. I left empty handed being accused of just wanting free food. Whoever is working feb 29 2024 at 3:30-3:40 answering calls is extremely unprofessional. I called and politely asked for a general manager she said there was none at the moment but that his name was Nick. I was about to ask a question and she hung up (i was NOT put on hold) i called back and let her know i was in the middle of saying something and she interrupted to say “i told you to wait like 5 times and put you on hold” i told her “i was never put on hold” and before i could say anything else she hung up again. I just wanted to know if they are hiring. The lady is black, not sure of the name but clearly she needs more training before being in charge of taking orders or...

Listen, I grew up eating at Nicks…. They almost never miss with the food… I’ve been eating here since I was about 8yrs when they were across the street by the liquor store… I’m now 40…but, what has changed are the cashiers… mannnnnn they have one cashier she is the rudest “mofo” in there… I’m pretty sure other people are familiar with her too… he may stick her somewhere else… cause she is not the 1st face you want to see when going in there… she’s not helpful at all… so for anyone new visiting Nicks on 63rd… I’ll just say…I hope you don’t get her as your cashier… cause she will definitely give you that “I’m going to yeah yeah this girl” but other than that Nicks… great job...
