The Submarine Pier — Restaurant in Lake Township

The food is not the best. I go here every now and then if I'm really hungry. To start off they have no parking. I usually walk from my house since I live a block away. Today I decide to stop by when I was driving, I pull over and park before the entrance to their parking lot and put on my emergency lights. There was another vehicle parked in front of me that was clearly blocking the entrance. An employee arrives and parks behind me and proceeds to get off his car and ask me to move. No big deal right? So I see a spot opening up in front and ask him to give me a few seconds to move my vehicle up there and that my wife was inside ordering food and should be coming out any second. He goes off on a rant about he doesn't care because I'm in the way and all this other stuff. I reminded him again of the fact that I was a customer and again he proceeded to tell me that he didn't care. Crappy food unfriendly staff, rude, uneducated, and clearly there is a lack of common sense since I was not the vehicle blocking...

2 stars only because we like the food. Service is mediocre. Nobody has a friendly face there. Firstly, The morning lady that works there needs to use better judgment when it comes down to cleaning something off of a table. She was using a butcher knife to scrape residue off of a table and then walking back with the knife sticking out making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Secondly, every time I call and place an order I’m always put on hold which is totally fine but then somebody else then comes to phone and says “what do u want?” So I have to repeat myself several times which is annoying. I luv me some submarine port 🤗 but I will not be returning to this location 💯 the woman behind the counter used gloves the entire time she handled my food. GREAT. BUT HER CO WORKER THOUGHT IT WAS KOO TO GRAB MY FOOD WITH HIS BARE HANDS 🤢 DUDE U JUST GOT THROUGH WIPING THE COUNTER TOO AND DIDNT WASH YOUR HANDS. I TOLD HIM ABOUT HIMSELF BUT HE JUST SMILED 🤔 SO I TOLD THE WOMAN. SHES LIKE WE USE SANITIZER TO WIPE THE COUNTER. So he got sanitizer on his hands then he grabs my food and that's suppose to be okay.. NOS stupid you wash your hands before you touch food periodt.... Never...
