La Playita Restaurant — Restaurant in Worth Township

First I would like to say I have frequented this restaurant on several occasions and had a very pleasant experience and that is why when a friend and myself was hungry and wanted a cocktail I suggested this establishment. on 9/17/17 around 330-340am we entered the restaurant and the GREETER was initially pleasant, smiled and said hello as we walked to the dinning area the cook who had on blue rudely and abruptly said no you all cannot sit down take out only we will be closing in a hour. So I asked the greeter who was initially nice until the cook spoke I said oh you all are closing and THEN he said yes in a hour and u can't sit we don't sit when we close in a hour and I simply said so we in here before an hour of closing and we can't sit and he said no. I said really. At that time my friend went to restroom and the greeter who was initially nice came from behind counter and said what are you saying what are u talking about I said nothing u said an hour but on the window it says u close at 5 but it's cool. so my friend comes out I go to the bathroom and unbeknownst to me while I'm in the bathroom the GREETER who was initially nice tells asks my friend what's my problem he don't like my attitude and LIED and said I was swearing at him but keep in mind he let me use the restroom and never called the police on me until after I came out the washroom and told him I was going to talk to the manager and tell him about this and I took a couple of photos to show what time I was there. Now keep in mind there was no yelling or cursing on his part or mine but the greeter who never asked us to leave picked up the phone and called the police and said to my face I was swearing at him and we refused to leave which neither never happened. we were leaving anyway bc of the way we was treated and then he lied on me and called the police. for no reason. in all this racial tension and incidents going on in the world. I couldn't believe he falsified a statement just bc I asked about a time. I am a black professional woman that lives in the south suburbs and make well over 6 figures and will never do anything to jeopardize my career with unruly behavior. but I couldn't believe that their employee lied on me. what if the police would have believed I was some belligerent hostile black woman and came and arrested me off lies. just because I wanted clarity on hours and service. your website says 4 on the door says 5. but keep in mind we only ended up there bc I knew about hours. if they would have said ladies it's slow or no seating when we walked in it would have been OK which it is but the greeter never said anything until the cook rudely spoke. whick led to some mess and the greeter ended up fraudently calling the police on us. keep in mind no arrest and the police was nice to us bc they seen we we're not there to cause trouble but to eat. so sad bc anything could have happened bc your employee lied and called the police on us, (me). I actually wanted to give no stars but it wouldn't accept that. Such a shame bc always had such a pleasant experience and...

I am a very polite, nice person. I love mexican food and trying different restaurants. I do not drive and I take public transportation to get me around. One afternoon, I had to go to the bathroom very bad. On this particular nice, sunny day I walked in this restaurant assuming since its a big restaurant and no one was in there eating. I asked if I could use the bathroom. The girl working behind the counter told me with confidence that I needed to buy something first. Shockingly, I turned around and I was forced to leave. After this experience I will never buy anything in there. I was treated rude and I felt like they did not care about me as a human being at all. I will have take another route on the bus to find another mexican restaurant that will treat me kindly with manners. It seemed these women just wanted my money. To add, while I was walking out of the restaurant she told me to, "have a nice day." In a sarcastic, rude way. I won't be able to taste there food and I sure do not feel comfortable ever going in there again. I believe the staff workers should be polite well with the food. So I won't be back...

I have been going here for years and the staff and food are usually great today i walked in with my coworkers to eat and got treated very rude and poorly by a young lady named Lesley behind the counter we asked to seated at a table and very rudely she replied no we already set you up on a table and that's where you guys are gonna sit and eat! I was so shocked by her reply and demand! I looked at my group and told them lets go eat elsewhere because ms Lesley just cost this place some longtime customers that go their faithfully with her attitude. The owner is a great respectful person their and I know he would not have accepted that treatment in any way and would have handled the situation. Lesly if you do not like your job please go get a new one I will not eat here again because of this ridiculous...
