Admittedly, I may be a little biased because it’s hard not to compare this to the restaurant that was formerly in this location. However, the other day I came in for coffee at the Long Room (attached) and breakfast here. I paid $6.00 for an egg & cheese English muffin and $3.50 for a half order of smashed potatoes. Honestly, I wasn’t excited to see the prices of the breakfast sandwiches; the menu sounded tasty but seemed to be a poor value for the prices, so I stuck with the basic egg & cheese.
The breakfast sandwich was good. Nothing amazing; nothing too disappointing other than the value for the money. Classic egg & American cheese on a white English muffin. Hard to mess that up.
The breakfast potatoes were very good, although too salty for my personal taste. The seasoning blend was nice, though.
All in all, decent experience. I will always return for the coffee at the Long Room and would probably have the Nice Guy potatoes if I’m here, but I won’t be going out of my way for the food...
Read moreI've been lucky enough to have the smash burger in the past when Nice Guy did evening pop ups at the Long Room (honestly one of the best burgers I've had), so despite my loyalty to that burger I decided to branch out and try the new breakfast and brunch menu that they've got going on regularly Wednesdays through Sundays. As expected, Nice Guy did not disappoint--I went with the smoked salmon Benedict and it was fantastic. After renewing my membership to the clean plate club, I was able to wash things down with a fresh cup of brewed coffee from the Long Room while slyly staring at another customer's yogurt parfait (with thyme!) and wondering what the minimum wait time is before a repeat trip to the Nice Guy window during a single visit... Highly recommend checking out Nice Guy for a delicious morning to mid-afternoon meal in a relaxed environment with the best service on either side of the kitchen and...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I visited this place for the first time recently and were so impressed by the operation! It’s located inside this bar that during the day turns into a daytime workspace/brunch space. We were greeted by the owner who was taking orders at the front. He showed us his faves on the menu and let us have a seat. We ordered a smash burger and the Apple of my Rye. Both were amazing!! The owner even brought out a cupcake to try and my gosh everyone needs to order cupcakes from here for birthdays. I can’t believe we just now found this spot. The owner Patrick is so nice and hospitable. You can tell he loves what he does. 100% recommended!! The pics are of my smash burger and cupcake. We ordered to-go but the vibe was so cute we decided to stay. We will come...
