I came in with my kids early on a Saturday morning. It had just opened but there were already a few families there. Although there were quite a few staff and it wasn't overly busy, it did take awhile to get served, but I'll chalk that up to getting things set up for the day. The staff was very friendly in welcoming us and checking in during our meal. The kids had pancakes, but it was a bit of a challenge getting them to add chocolate chips (it's not a standard offering, but many of the nearby similar restaurants do have them). I had the eggs Benedict which was okay, but highly unusual with crispy strip bacon, and the potatoes were not that great if I'm honest. We also got the fruit plate which had a lot of what I presume was chopped mint on it, which really didn't add anything and naturally didn't appeal to my kids. Since it's nearby and has good reviews otherwise, we'll definitely be back to try other things. I'm glad this is a local option with people who care running it. We maybe just...

I visited this restaurant because it was nearby the AirBnB. I am from Canada and honestly. For the price it was. Compared to all the other "breakfast" spots I tried both in Canada and Chicago. It doesn't compare how good it is.
In Toronto, for the quality of the food you get; you'll pay the same price but in CAD. But the food will taste like shit. It's one of those "tourist" breakfast spots where you pay a hefty price for but then the food is worse than McDonalds.
This restaurant I paid pretty much $20 in CAD and it was well worth the money spent. Good portions, good hospitality, good everything. I assume it's not expensive if you were American with American currency - What do I know.
I never write reviews but this restaurant definitely deserves one. That say something.
This will be my go-to breakfast spot when...
Read moreI’ve been meaning to try out this restaurant for a while as I pass it daily on my commute. Upon entering the deep blue walls with animals painted across them transport you somewhere warm and tropical. I was greeted and seated by the server promptly and immediately felt welcomed. I noticed a wide variety of dishes on the menu from savory to sweet and from traditional American fare to Cuban sandwiches. There was something for every tastebud. The bananas foster French toast won my vote with a side of perfectly crisp bacon and a vanilla latte. It was so delicious and filling. When I finished my meal, the owner graciously came and spoke to me and asked about my experience. He was warm and inviting and I could see his passion for food and hospitality in how he spoke of his business. Next time I visit, I will bring my family along. I know they will love it as...
