Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant.
I ordered one simple thing: lahmacun with ayran at 7:30 PM. The delivery was supposed to arrive at 8:00. At 7:50, they called me and casually told me they don’t have ayran. Really? A Turkish restaurant that doesn’t even have ayran? I said fine, I don’t need a replacement - I just wanted my lahmacun.
But instead of being honest and canceling my order right then, this restaurant chose to play games. The app kept saying “order is being prepared” for hours. Hours! I sat there waiting, hungry and frustrated, watching the delivery time get pushed back again and again.
By 10:00 PM - more than 2 hours late - still nothing. At 10:30 PM I finally had to contact DoorDash support myself, and the order was cancelled. Who cancelled? I don’t even know, and I don’t care. What’s clear is that this restaurant never intended to deliver my food in the first place. They knew it, but they made me wait like a fool for 3 hours.
This is not just bad service - it’s disrespectful, dishonest, and completely unethical. They wasted my time, ruined my evening, and left me sitting hungry because they couldn’t be bothered to either deliver or cancel.
The staff and management here clearly don’t care about customers at all. They don’t deserve to be on DoorDash, they don’t deserve to be called a restaurant, and they definitely don’t deserve your money.
If you value your time and sanity, stay far, far away from this place.
To clarify in response to your reply:
You didn’t have time to update me about my order while I waited for three hours, hungry and frustrated, but somehow you have time to reply to Google reviews. Answering reviews doesn’t make your service good, make your service good instead of telling me you’re sorry after leaving me starving for three hours.
If there was an issue with the delivery, your restaurant could and should have canceled my order within a reasonable time frame. Instead, I was left waiting with no communication. My order was never proactively canceled, even though your restaurant closed at 10 PM. You could have canceled it by 9:30 or 9:50 PM, but you didn’t. I had to contact DoorDash support myself to finally get the order canceled at 10:30 PM.
Completely frustrated and hungry, realizing I would never receive my lahmacun, I ordered from New York Halal Eats, delivery in 17 minutes. I also ordered tiramisu from another restaurant, delivery 16 minutes. Clearly, the problem was not DoorDash or the delivery driver, but entirely on your side.
Other vendors on DoorDash operate efficiently and professionally. Your handling of this order, no communication, no proactive cancellation, leaving a customer starving for hours, is unprofessional, unethical, and completely unacceptable.
Do better. I don’t think I will ever order from you again, but please be respectful to any other customers you might have...
Read moreI was planning on picking up some Venezuelan food and from the corner of my eye, I saw this place and on a whim, and although, I saw the cashier, was just standing outside the door looking bored. I was looking for a hearty sandwich and I saw the had a Beef Doner Kabob, so I ordered it. The place was beautiful. It has a best chic Mediterranean vibe, with elegant marble paneling. It was very pretty. I decided to make my togo, to stay and eat it here. Afterall, I was exhausted from my 15 miles bike ride. She offered me a complimentary tea and everything was great... Until I got my sandwich. First of all, it looked like panini. I was like is this even what I ordered. Upon further inspection, it looked like the skimpiest panini sandwich I've ever seen. So I patiently waited to flag when the cashier and waited, while I googled to see if I ordered the wrong thing. Maybe it was my fault. I googled Turkish Doner Kebob sandwich and I got like a variety of different pics. I was expecting something that resembles a Gyro sandwich. So I waited and after mote 5 minutes and I started eating it. It was underwhelming. I opened it up and I swear I could count the thinnest layer of meat. It was under marinated needed an acid to bring the flavor out. I swear I inhaled the sandwich and I was still hungry. I immediately started placing an order at the Venezuelan place across the street, because after $18 for just a panini sandwich, I was still hungry. The cashier came and asked my how my sandwich was and I said, underwhelming and such a disappointment. She just looked at me and all I got was the Gen Z stare! No apology. No attempt and making my experience better. So I left. I sad and disappointed. Oh well. No you know. Check it out at your discretion. There are way too places, that far better places, with better value and costumer service. By that was my...
