Free parking. BUT...This place "looks" like you could be in Nail supply heaven. But the service you get here is far from that. There are no prices listed on 99% of the store so they can pretty much charge you whatever they feel like charging you....literally.

I purchased 3 tools where the prices were listed for them. My total was $10. There was no line. Only one other customer in the store at the time. I went to check out and she assumed I was vietnamese by speaking to me in her native language. I assumed she said $10 because I already knew how much my items were ahead of time. I handed her my credit card and she shook her head and said no. I told her I had paid with a credit card before. Then, get this... she said $15. So 5 bucks more to pay with a card. Okkkkk. So I gave her a 10 dollar bill. She took it and walked away. No thank you. No nothing. And no receipt! But she rolled her eyes at me?! Wth did I do to her to get such an attitude?! I will never come back here.

Sunlight was closed and Lynamy was out of the tool I needed. Both of which have much friendlier, less shady workers and business practices. They will no longer have my business nor anyone else that I'll...

Wow this store is heaven! , I am sorry for those who have had bad experiences. Some of the staff was very helpful I was looking at the nail polish racks and a gentleman automatically showed me what sizes they had and what their prices were. Another guy showed me all the nail art they had and answered all my questions he was very nice. I drove 3 hours to just shop here and the staff was great, they have so much from kiara sky, ezflow, gelish, dnd, opi, glam and glitz, some acrylic powder range from 5-20$ and gel varies from 2-12$ prices are so great! they also have many salon accessories like nail tips, buffers, files . Lastly you do need a licence to shop but if you don't have one you can still buy they just don't give your a receipt , hope this post is helpful. :) Will deff be going back for my...

Tucked right on Argyle, Double Happiness is the only Teochew restaurant in the entire Midwest. The Teochew people come from eastern Guangdong, China, and many migrated through Southeast Asia—so their food carries influences from Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia. What sets Teochew cuisine apart is its light, clean flavors and focus on freshness. Think braised dishes, delicate soups, seafood, and a balance that highlights the ingredients instead of masking them. Eating Teochew food on Argyle connects Chicago to a global story of migration and taste. #TeochewCuisine #ArgyleStreet #ChicagoEats #FoodHistory #asianamericanstories

People don’t just come to Argyle for food — they come for memories. I once met a woman at Honeymoon Café who had driven all the way from Iowa just to eat here and to bring her son, because this street held a piece of her life she wanted him to taste. That’s Argyle: it’s a destination where every steaming bowl and neon sign carries someone’s story, a place people will drive hours to revisit because it reminds them of home. Honeymoon Café is perfect for that kind of pilgrimage. It’s cozy, unpretentious, and full of comforting Cantonese dishes like salt & pepper tofu, combination fried rice, or beef with peppers over noodles. The food feels both elevated and familiar, a table you can share with family or strangers and feel rooted in something bigger. That’s why people keep coming back — not just for the flavors, but for the memory it sparks. #AsiaOnArgyle #ArgyleChicago #ChicagoComfortFood #argylecareteam #HoneymoonCafeChi

One time me and some friends were getting vegan food on Argyle Street at a place that’s now closed called Phở Xe Lửa. They had this secret Buddhist vegan menu, and the food was incredible—dishes that felt both home-cooked and full of surprise. But what made that night unforgettable was when Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse of the Heart came on the TV. That music video is chaotic and way too long, and the five of us just sat there laughing, eating, and watching it unfold. It was such a goofy, joyous moment in a tiny spot that’s now gone. Places like that aren’t just restaurants—they’re stages for memory, culture, and hilarity. I really miss Fa-se-lua, but that night proved how Argyle could make even an 80s power ballad into part of its community story. #ArgyleMuseumOfMemories #ChicagoEats #VeganFoodie #NeighborhoodStories #argylecareteam
