Foster Beach — Attraction in Lake View Township

if you are near another beach, go there. i have genuinely never met ruder people than the life guards here. this one man between 18-22 who was around 5’4” with a mustache kept picking me and my friend out of the crowd to harass and yell at. we told him countless times that we were men and he kept calling us women. he would not answer me when i was asking him where the water should be hitting me and just kept saying “move in girls!!” it got to the point where we started to ignore him and he got his supervisor involved and when i told the supervisor what happened, he could not care less. he changed his answer to where the water should be hitting us and when we said “that’s the first time someone told us that” he got angry and started lying about how he had been saying that the whole time. he had most certainly had not been.

Free parking & free beach is great, but only 1 of 2 water fountains work. They removed the shower. The bathrooms could definitely use an upgrade, they’ve a dirty feel to them, almost “prison-like” quality. The “mirrors” are made out of some type of reflective dull foil-like material. So worn that you can’t really see your reflection. Most of the time there’s either no soap, or the soap dispensers are broken. Workers come to “clean” and stock it, but mostly just smoke cigarettes & sit in their maintenance vehicle until someone asks them for toilet paper or soap. The garbage tends to be over-filled and spill out onto the sidewalk or beach. Many of us have seen rats running around the beach at night. The taco stand near the parking lot has really good steak tacos though, and the family running it are so nice. The sand is nice & soft, but the city needs to do a better job of maintaining the beach...

ENGLISH: This place is really charming. The trees, green areas, walkways, beaches and spaces to play volleyball make it wonderful. There are parks, bike paths, basketball courts, recycling and organic waste bins, but I saw few public restrooms. I love to see the squirrels everywhere playing, jumping and enjoying the intense green of the grass. In addition, you can take your barbecue and make hamburgers, hot dogs or barbecues. In summer the weather is perfect for taking a bath on the lake's beaches. The water is cold, but really clean and very refreshing. Because it is a lake, it is not salt water. Lifeguards stand out from the crowds, on boats and Baywatch-style watchtowers. At night, you can see the lake illuminated by the light from the buildings of the city. And if you come across a full moon night, you will be able to see an exotic and huge incandescent red moon that seems to come out of the lake and then hangs in the sky painting the landscape with elegance and mysticism. You see many families, conventional couples and both sexes walking around and enjoying the place. Although it is also ideal if you want to enjoy it alone and give yourself a moment for yourself.
