Updated 11/13/23 @2:13pm: only reason I’m leaving 5 stars is because Ms. Rhonda took awesome care of us! My husband and I came in to grab a bit to eat cause we were craving breakfast and right off the bat as he was looking at the mints a blonde lady said very loudly to my husband “don’t steal those” when he was only looking and had never seen or heard of a lions club before. She sat us and got drinks and then left…we waited for almost 20 minutes with our drinks and not once did this lady touch base with us but kept walking around and taking care of the other customers who didn’t look like my husband…after awhile we stopped Ms. Rhonda and asked if we had a server and after we found out that they didn’t know which server had us she gratefully jumped in and got us back into a great mood! Her pens kept falling apart so I just had to give her one of my favorite pens that can’t fall apart. After Ms. Rhonda took our order it was smooth sailing from there, she kept us laughing and smiling the whole time!!! If corporate sees this the. MS. RHONDA DESERVES A RAISE!!!! we were not her table but she put everything down to help us! Ms. Rhonda if you see this you are truly a hidden gem within that restaurant and we will definitely be back so long as YOU are our server! I don’t normally leave bad reviews on restaurants and give waitresses a chance because I used to be a waitress at a billion dollar resort so I understand at times how crazy it can get but when we were here there was maybe 15-20 patrons total including us so it wasn’t busy…..I didn’t get the other ladies name because she didn’t have a name tag but management needs to have a solid talk with her about how she takes care of guests because this was not okay and if it wasn’t for Ms. Rhonda we would have got up and left after the...
Read moreStarted out ok. Then food took forever to come out only for the food to be cold. So cold the butter wasn’t even melted on the toast and the eggs were starting to congeal. Had to ask our server for hot sauce twice even though we asked for it while ordering our meal. We ate the food anyway since we were hungry and had already been there 40 minutes. Server dropped the check and we went to the front to pay (as we’ve done before) since our server was busy.
The server standing at the register acted like we were giving her a bomb when we put our check and debit card down loudly stating “I’m not your server I’m not cashing you out” , I asked where we cash out she said find your server. Then another server said go back and sit down and wait for your server. I said excuse me I can’t pay my bill here are you kidding me. FINALLY a “manager” came up and let us pay the bill, we stated we were confused that we always paid up front here and at the winter haven location. She stated she was the former GM at that location and we were never able to pay up front. Which we had done on several occasions. she finally swiped our card and then walked away leaving us to tear the receipt off the machine ourselves and find a pen. Absolutely ridiculous. If their policy now is that only servers can take payment, then the server needs to state that when they drop the check. A simple I’ll take that whenever you’re ready would solve...
Read moreWhen I came in with my two sons, this evening, waited, about six minutes to be sad or even greeted there was only three or four tables, probably in the whole restaurant with more than one server on, I had to walk to the back to find someone to greet us and there was another couple waiting to be seated as well finally was sat down and ordered our drinks which we waited another six minutes or so for Then, unfortunately was brought out only food for one of my children while me, and my other son sat there and waited for our food didn’t get our food until he was almost done with his Whole meal then on top of all of that I was served something completely different from what I had ordered After waiting for so long and I was so hungry. I couldn’t stand to wait any longer for some thing else. I was assuming that the server quits realizing this was her mistake would have went to her manager to get the item removed from the bill that I picked up because it wasn’t even very good. This wasn’t some thing that I ordered point-blank, and when I brought this to her attention, she said there Are no managers on duty at all. She informed me that there was no one there too manage the restaurant!!! I am a server/bartender and I was just extremely disappointed but I definitely think that you guys should know that this restaurant is being ran with no manager there I’m just a little bit confused about a lot of it...
