Denny's — Restaurant in Lake Worth

Was part of a group of 5 out at about 1pm on a Monday, place was not very busy at all

Lets start with service: shotty at best. The servers are really nice and sweet but we were lead around from one side of the place to the other like lost puppys because the host didnt know where she could put us. Brought us to a dirty table, said oops come with me, lead us to another dirty table she then cleaned and left with a weak apology accompanied with an excuse of them being super busy (they had maybe 10-12 tables full in the whole place and there were at least 4 servers) Our server was a sweet older lady, kept our drinks full and made sure we were taken care of. But brought out the wrong meal for my friend. Then insted of just apologizing and fixing it she argued with my friend for a solid 2 minutes saying that's not what she ordered before bringing out a menu to have my friend clarify what she meant, realized she was wrong, THEN fixed the order. She also forgot to bring out my girlfriends pancakes with the rest of her breakfast, she realized it 20 minutes later and told our server who apologized and went to get them. We then watched her take the cold pancakes out of the window and pop them in the microwave.... The pancakes that had been sitting in the window for 20 minutes... They came out slightly chewy but other than that she said they were okay.

On that note lets move to food: the food was great for the price. 5 people ate enough to be full and have leftovers for $40. Toast was slightly crunchy but nothing a little extra butter couldnt fix. Eggs were fluffy and bacon was crisp but chewy, overall it was great food. Better than my local dennys i usually frequent. Very very pleased with everything. The Tres Leches pancakes were absolutely phenomenal.

Cleanliness: like i said when we first arrived the place was pretty dirty, most tables weren't cleaned. However from what we could see of the kitchen where we were sitting it was very clean and organized. The aperence of the dining room i feel did not reflect the cleanliness of the kitchen. Also the bathrooms were neat and clean. Very impressed.

Everyone in our group of 5 is or has worked in food service (busser, two servers, a cook, and a bartender) and overall we were pleased with our service and food. Deffinitly would go back, just hope theyre having a better day next time. One star was removed for service and one for cleanliness.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Denny's location, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a genuine smile from the staff, which immediately set the tone for the evening. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, with just the right balance of lively energy and relaxed comfort.

The service throughout the entire meal was absolutely top-notch. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations tailored to our preferences. Every question we had about the dishes or wine pairings was answered with enthusiasm and confidence, which really made us feel cared for as guests.

Now, the food—simply outstanding. Each dish that came to the table was beautifully plated and full of flavor. You can tell the chef and kitchen team take pride in what they do, because every bite tasted fresh, balanced, and made with quality ingredients. My entrée was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and paired perfectly with the sides. The appetizers were just as memorable, offering a great variety of textures and tastes that really set the stage for the main course. And the dessert…absolutely heavenly. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal.

One thing that really stood out was the attention to detail. The little touches—like the fresh bread served warm, the perfectly timed pacing between courses, and the thoughtful check-ins from the staff—made the whole evening feel special. Even the drinks were impressive, from creative cocktails to a carefully curated wine list.

Overall, Denny's exceeded all expectations. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on every front—ambiance, service, food, and overall experience—but this restaurant truly does. Myself & the missus dropped into this Denny's after attending church. Before I continue, this review is a wee bit "late-ish", so I may have some names confused, but here goes (lol). Our server, as best as I recall, was Yanely (Nellie) ... and she was superb!! She was observant, outgoing, friendly, ... she really brought her A game with her, & it showed! I didn't have to ask for tea refills, which for me personally is always nice (lol). Servers like Nellie are a goldmine, and she was certainly that & a bag of diamonds!! Now due to dietary intake, we both ordered a prime rib cobb salad, and wow ... Denny's has really upped their game in the food department!! Having already had bunless burgers from this location previously, we opted to try these salads. Like the burgers, the prime rib cobb salad did not disappoint. Yes, I want another one (lol)!! And so long as we're served by Nellie, we shall be as they say, happy campers! We were so impressed by this young lady, I had to speak to the manager/manageress on duty. On this day, I believe her name was (is) Christina. Anyway, we had to brag on Nellie for her awesome, award winning service, pleasant smile, and friendly manners & such. Did I mention how delicious our salads were??? Now as far as servers go, Nellie really stands out with her outgoing personality ... a trait one needs if you're to excel in the restaurant/hospitality indusry. In my opinion, Nellie does just that, & sets a standard for others to follow in. So if you're ever hungry, and are in the area, stop by this Denny's location, ask for Nellie ... she will not disappoint! Oh ... and try the prime rib cobb salad!! Excellent food accompanied by awesome service is always a winning combination in my book! And it is for those reasons we will be returning to Denny's!
