Rosati's Pizza — Restaurant in Lake Zurich

3/39/2025 Update... Placed a carry out order here on Wednesday for two pizzas because I earned a "free" 16" pie with rewards. Not sure if I can trade that in for something other than pizza but I need to find out. As usual, the pizza fell FAR short of expectations. I ordered extra sauce and extra cheese on both pizzas... didn't happen. I asked them to carry the sauce and extra cheese to the edges of the pies. Didn't happen... probably because they didn't put the extras on. As soon as I picked up the boxes I knew I had two more completely wimpy pizzas that lacked EVERYTHING. I just have to find out if I can cash in the $16.99 pizza coupon as a credit for another menu item so I don't have to keep ordering these lackluster pizzas. Waste of my good money. I am going to try the "other Rosati's" chain. The other side of the family from the breakup years back. There is one on Dundee Road... not horribly far away. I had their pizza at a party a few weeks back and it was fantastic compared to what I've been getting in Lake Zurich. More to come on that.

Rosati's is an old standby for us that is dependable for decent food but for pizza will never be what it once was. All of their menu items are pretty tasty and we go there on occasion when we're in a pinch for something quick. Now I've been going to Rosati's for probably 50 years now (not just the Lake Zurich location). Their pizza used to be the best. Loaded with ingredients and cheese. Now it's a pretty wispy pie and ordering extra cheese still doesn't make it what it was back in the day. We rarely stoop to getting pizza from them anymore. So many other...

Never even got to eat here because when I called asking if there were dishes that didn't have dairy or eggs, I was put on hold for five minutes before being told "We don't know if there is dairy or eggs in our breaded mushrooms or marinara sauce."

Not a great comfort that this place "doesn't know" what's in the food they're serving. I've never been told that before.

Update: The restaurant responded with the link below. The link provides no information other than "We can share ingredient information from our recipes, but not what a manufacturer may have added prior to it coming to our restaurant." So the restaurant took the time to tell me, for a second time, that they don't know what's in their food. Not sure why they felt it was necessary or helpful to...

I walked in and all the person at the counter.Did was look at me, didn't greet me.I asked if he had slices all he did was point behind him, then.I gave him cash and he threw the money back at me on the counter. It seemed very racist, very ignorant. I will never ask anybody or tell anybody to come to this establishment. worst rosatis, I've ever been in my life. If it's franchise owned, I wish they would replace the people working there.If it's privately owned, then they have the worst customer service.I've ever seen will never recommend to anyone.
