I have used this place several times and had a good customer experience. However this last time, I brought my sonâs laptop in for an issue with audio. It was recommended that they wipe the computer and reinstall windows to see if that would fix the issue. This was $75. I was told the computer would be ready that day or the next. I checked on it around 4 pm the next day and was told the person who was working on it had the day off and the employee I was speaking to âdidnât know I needed the computer back right awayâ He stated he would start working it and have it back to by the end of that day or the next. I called 2 days after that and was told the driver was bad and they were installing a new driver, which I had a problem with. Why wouldnât you call me before you started doing repairs that I didnât ask for or agree to. I was told the driver and labor would be another $150. I told them no thank you. I just wanted them to do what I agreed to. A day or so later I received a call that the computer was ready. When I went in to pick it up another person was in the shop. He informed me I âwas the one that didnât want the repairâ I probably should have ignored his snarkiness and just picked up the computer, but I didnât. Instead I let him know - I just wanted them to do what we agreed on and not extra things without so much as a courtesy call. He said he didnât know what was going but would like the opportunity to look at the computer and see whatâs going on. I agreed. He called within 2 hrs and said what we were already told about the driver. I declined. He let me know that it would be an additional $75 because the 1st $75 was a deposit and tried to convince us that this is what we agreed to when I originally dropped the computer off. That did not going over well. The gentlemen (whoâs name I do not know) then started trying to talk over me and continued to interrupt me. I told him this was unacceptable. He hung up on me. (I was out of town) so I did try to call back 2 more times. Anyway the long and the short review is the place was good unti it wasnât. I am sure they donât care - but I will...
Read moreOk, let me preface this review by saying I work from home. My computer is VERY important to me, it is how I make my living. Today at 1:00pm I was taking my lunch break when I heard a loud POP behind my computer and the screen when blank. The burning smell indicated that it had to be the power source. I live near ComputerXpress so I pass by their shop frequently and decided to give them a call to see what they could do. The gentleman that answered the phone was courteous, listened to my description of the issue and agreed it might be the power supply. He quoted me a reasonable price for the part and a reasonable price for them to install it for me.
I expressed that I work from home and the sooner I could be up and running the better. They said no problem, could have me going in no time. I quickly brought my tower to them, they checked it out, tested the power source to determine the issue was indeed the power source (it was) Then took the new power source they had pulled and waiting for me out of the box, installed it temporarily to make sure everything booted up properly, then proceeded to install it into my tower.
I was up and running in less than an hour. The staff was helpful, professional and thorough. They cleaned the inside of my tower, wiped down the outside and even replaced a missing screw on the side of my case.
As this was an emergency repair, I had to split the charge between two cards which they did with no problem.
So to recap:
Professional, Thorough, Quick and Courteous.
That was my experience at ComputerXpress...it's now only 2 hours since the incident and I'm writing this review on the comp they...
Read moreWhat a sheer surprise of an experience I had selecting a computer and a monitor. First, they listened to what I was looking for, then they clarified the purpose and functions that I was looking for. Next came a careful and detailed comparison of what each choice had to offer, the pros and cons of each decision and more than anything, I learned so much. They started with the level I was at, and by the time I left with computer and monitor in hand, I had felt their genuine interest in explaining just what I needed to know and assuring me that they were there for any questions in the future. They work as a team, and you get to know everyone there, because each one knew about a specific piece of electronic equipment. They spent time making sure that I had the best and even showed me items online to compare. This was truly the most elevating experience I have ever had in a store. You leave feeling like you just discovered cousins who shared a keen interest in launching you into the stratosphere in the direction of your success. It's personal for them. They're wide eyed in their enthusiasm and I felt myself pressing a virtual record button soon after I walked into the store. You know how you walk into a restaurant and you see the chef preparing the meals. Here, their workshop is right behind the counter in an alcove and you see how real and hardworking they are. By the time I got home, my eyes couldn't focus, I was reliving all the conversations I had and they've stayed with me. I was literally back in the store, looking at all the choices and the detailed info was learned...
