Checkers — Restaurant in Lakeland

Not very happy. I already have enough stress in my life. I don't need anymore added. Which is exactly what I got at this location.

I go to college full time and I work full time. School during the day, job at night. I don't get very much free time. Because of that I don't usually leave campus. And since there is food in the cafeteria I don't really have to worry about going to get something unless its the weekend. Which isn't usually an issue... until now. Because I was working i sent someone to get my food. They came back. Food was fresh and it was good. Thats why there is a star. But my sandwich was made incorrectly.

So i called up there on my 15 min break and asked let them know. The manager (was a male and he did not give me his name) asked if i had a receipt. I texted the person who got me the food and asked. They said they didnt get one. So i told the manager told me that and he said that i need to bring the anadwuch back up there. Which wouldn't be a problem accept for the fact that I am working and I don't get off until after they are closed. I told him that and he said being it tomorrow.

I live in a very very very samll room. There is no where to store food. I mean there is barely anywhere to store my clothes. I qasnt comfortable with that because I don't want my room smelling like rotten food.

The manger said that checker was like Walmart and that if you wanted something fixed you needed to bring it back..... i worked at Walmart. That isn't true.

I told him that I wouldn't be able to do that. And that i wasn't off until Wednesday. This jerk had the nerve to tell me to keep the food until then. Are you serious???? Thats disgusting.

I got upset with this guy because he was being extremely rude. He had said that if i had the receipt, because it wasn't give to the customer I needed to bring food back. Which is disgusting. Especially with all of this Covid-19 and what not.

I ended up asking if he could look it up and he said that he couldn't because there are too many orders with the sandwich. So i told him me exact order. Everything that was on it. He said hold on. Guess he thought he muted me but he didnt because I heard he talking trash about me in the back ground. He got back on the phone and guess what?

They found my order. He still wouldn't fix it without the food. I tried to reason with him and he wouldn't listen to it. Instead he interrupted me and told me that he "tried to help" but that there isn't anything he can do. Unless I bring the 3 day old food back up there. Then he hung up on me. Oh and here is one of the highlights if this call.... he had the nerev to tell me that i should understand with where the store was located and all. I was like what? I just got here in lakeland. I dont really much about anything around here but I know that store is gross since they take peoples food back inside. So no i don't understand.

I had even offered to take pictures and show him that it was wrong but that wasnt good enough. He wanted me to keep food and his reason was inventory. The picture would have gave him that. I mean it was a single chicken sandwich. With 2 pieces of bacon and one piece of chicken. What else is there to take inventory of. Its gross.

So i definitely don't recommend the checkers in lakeland fl 33801 off of Memorial Blvd because they obviously don't care about the safety and satisfaction of...

Went through the drive through at checkers and we had 2 different orders for 4 people in 1 car. She told us she can not do 2 orders through the drive through. That we had to drive around again so they can take the second order. So i guess they didn't want our business anymore and we come here a lot. I never had this problem before. She was to worried about the timers. Instead they lost 4 people business. When asked for her name they refused to tell us. Then they all took off their name tags. They had a bad attitude when we asked why they couldn't do it. I have never in my life been treated so disrespected in my life. I can't believe they think they can disrespect costumers and nothing be done about it. Thats why this day in age this generation people act the way they do. They are not held accountable for their actions. UPDATE... AFTER I TALKED TO THR MANAGER ABOUT THIS ISSUE HE SAID HE WOULD COMP OUR MEALS AND I CAN COME UP TO GET SOME COMBO MEALS. WROTE MY NAME DOWN. I WENT UP THRRE THR KID SAID MY NAME AINT WROTEE DOEN ANYWHERE AND HE. CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SO IF ANYONE THAT IS THINKING OF GPING THERE. THINK TWICE. BEFORE YOU GO. I HAVE NEVER RECIEVED. SUCH POOR SERIVCE. I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE THEM A CHANCE AGAIN AND THEY BLEWVIT. I WILL MAKE SURE TO POST THIS ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT I HAVE. ON TOP OF IT ALL HE MADE ME FEEL LILE I WAS LYING TO GET FREE FOOD. THE KIDS THAT WORK THERE HSVE NO RESPECT AND SOUND NEVER BE IN COUSTMER...

Today on 08/16/2021, I ordered a #4 with no cheese, no pickle. At first when you pull up to the intercom to order first comes on is a recording then the person at the window states to you to order when you’re ready. I already knew what I wanted because I order the same exact thing all the time a #4 with no cheese, no pickle Mayo and ketchup on both sides of the bread. Well at the window, I was given a #3 with bacon I know I didn’t order that because I’m allergic to it. When I went back through the drive through the supposedly General Manager unknown name became upset and corrected her, I stayed to her that I wanted a #4 she became upset that I asked how much the combo was because she charged me $8.02 and the #4 is 6.99 I need the difference. I paid with a credit card she began speaking in a aggressive voice tone, I asked to speak with someone besides her as Barbara was in the restaurant making sandwiches she asked her if she was needed the white female who claimed to be the the GM motioned for her to not come with a motion waving under chin shaking her head back and forth stated no for her not to come. I don’t appreciate the rudeness and they both need to go back to training. Every time I come to this restaurant I have problems. Barbara should have insisted she remove herself from the situation she didn’t give me anything I paid for my food that...
