My wife and I went there for breakfast. They were busy, so we expected a wait, but sat there for at least five minutes and no one even spoke. A gentleman was waiting just ahead of us, and a waitress came over and gave him a hug, talked to him about someone having a baby, and still no one spoke, no "we are busy, we'll be with you in a minute", nothing. Someone came in the opposite door, was handed a drink and the group was seated. My wife finally said something to the lady standing there at the register, and our name was added to the list, but then another group walked in and was seated. My wife then told her to just take us off the list, that we would go somewhere else, and she was very rude and started that she would. We called and spoke to the manager, which happened to be the lady at the register that didn't speak when we first walked in, or the entire time we was seated directly in front of her. She made excuses as to why she didn't speak and handed the phone off. Some guy answers the phone and says, “whats up"? I asked who he was and he said “Eric". I asked if he was a manger and he stated he was the owner and the lady at the register was his wife. Neither one of them offered to help the situation or apologized for the poor service. He stated that his wife is not normally nasty. I informed him that we were still in the parking lot and his response to the entire incident was"I don't know what to tell you". We've eaten there before and it was good. Today was terrible and the owners had poor customer service skills. They didn't seem to care. I'm sure others have great reviews and that is to be expected. We will not be spending any money there in the future. I can deal with busy. I can deal with a wait. I cannot deal with a poor attitude and lack of concern for...
Read moreEXCELLENT "Truck Stop Family" type restaurant!!! When you walk in you find a very clean looking large dinner type series of tables and booths. We arrived about 10 AM and there were still plenty of patrons, from families with small children to those of us dressed casually to even those in business suits. The portion sizes for what my business partner and I had were average to a bit larger for his scrambled eggs and ham. I tried an unusual selection - fish and scrambled eggs. My partner told me that the place is known for its Friday night AYCE fish dinner where he has driven past and observed lines WAITING all the way into the parking lot. When my fish arrived and I tasted it I definitely knew why!!! One word - fanTASTIC!! It was a large piece of a thick cut white fish apparently double dipped in a great batter AND it wasn't greasy tasting! I actually thought it was baked due to the lack of the grease taste. Regardless, it was truly a unique meal. The attention to customer service after the meals were served was also "down home". I don't drink coffee but my partner does and every few minutes someone new came along with a pot in their hand asking if he wanted more. All in all the visit was well worth it. Great tasting food, nice prices and portions, and a very very comfortable ambiance. I will be back. Fair notice - I did not use the restroom so my comment does not include any reference to its...
Read moreLooks great inside, nice and clean. I was excited to eat here with my visiting parents. And immediately we were rushed to order drinks and the meal before we even actually sat down properly. In the end we waited over an hour to receive our food, Hashbrowns were undercooked. And my mother’s plate was absolutely pitiful, included is an image of her food. Again, We waited over an hour for subpar overcharged food. Never will take them here again, next time you’re looking for somewhere I guess look up the reviews and make sure you got a second place.
However, I’d like to think this place has a chance if you don’t go on Sundays, which I might just test out the waters. But Sundays don’t go. Like at all.
Update: Got home and imploded my bowels. I feel sick to my stomach after digesting that food.
Edit to Owner response: Congratulations??? It's not a tool in the hands of others, a review is a curated response based on ones opinion of their events, just because I didn't have a good time and the food was of poor quality for me doesn't mean I'm weaponizing negativity towards you. But alas, if you feel empowered by your response to this and making you seem like the big dog for a negative review with a picture of another poor incident of service cuddos I guess? This is a review therefore an opinion, not an obligation and factual for every...
