So here we are on a Thursday morning coming out of a surgery center from dropping off a family member .I decide that we will stop with my 18moth old son to get breakfast and, relax a bit from all of the emotions I had going on.We stopped at a local cafe that I’ve visited before ,which to my liking their food and service at the time was very friendly to myself a place that I took the time and recommended to several of my friends because of the atmosphere and familiar people that work there . Well, never did I think I would feel rejected that day that I went in there . As normal I went ahead and order our breakfast and I can clearly remember that there was only a hand full of people . Yes they called my name I went ahead and grabbed my food , sat down and started eating with my son. As I am eating and just enjoying this time with my little one a worker approached my table and says “ My manager has asked me if YOU can quiet your baby because she is ABOUT to START a meeting “…mind you my son is only 18 months old he is sitting on his stroller eating his parfait and making a sound (which now I know is from one of his favorite shows ) (unfortunately am not able to upload the video of what was so called the load screaming that my son was doing ) .. after the fact that she asked me to do that I just glanced at her and said “are you serious “ and the worker walked away . I continued to eat our breakfast and NOT act a fool because of the situation. Yes I finished eating my breakfast got my son situated then I decided to go outside finished my drink , took a breather and went about my day .
The only thing that I truly appreciated that moment was the elderly guy coming towards my son and saying “someone is very happy this morning “
Few hours later I still couldn’t get over the fact of what had happened to myself at the cafe . So yes I indeed had a conversation with my husband and here is the result of that .
To my understanding no where in the website or place of business does it state , NO children allowed , or that is an office/ meeting place for workers.
FYI , there was no meeting going on at the time we walked in . Nor while we were eating .
What would...
Read more1 star at this point is gracious. Let's start with attitude of the employees: upon entering, I was nicely greeted by the two young ladies. I was helped by the lady with tattoos, Amanda, I think is what my receipt shows. She was super helpful as well as the brown haired lady with glasses on the register next to her. They were very kind. Unfortunately, their kindness was quickly drowned out by the complete, over the top, just nasty attitude of lady handing out food, Michelle (the only one with a name tag besides the one I saw that says "owner". Michelle basically sounded as she was counting down time to kitchen close, like she was ready to not serve anyone again. She loudly announced "no more orders after that heavy set woman; i could only imagine what that lady felt like as she approached to order. The way she bossed the other ladies around behind the counter was just plain horrible. I assume she's a manager due to her being the only one with a name tag but if my manager spoke to me that way, she'd no longer be a manager.
Secondly, the lack of "bagel shop" options until closing was crazy. Every "bagel shop" I've ever been to has always offered bagel sandwich items all day. Once I finally got my food, the lady Michelle called my name like it was inconvenient to be bagging my order. I only had a couple of things and ended up going back to the lady that rang me up and she got my items that were missing because Michelle was too busy leaned on the counter telling everyone they need to be cleaning.
The coffee was ok. The young blonde lady with glasses was working so hard on the espresso machine.
The food was mediocre at best. Pretty tasteless but to be expected from frozen bagels. Yes their bagels are frozen, you can see the empty cases out back/in the garbage corral. That explains why they're so hard.
I'll drive to Tampa for a bagel shop and I'll go to WaWa for better tasting food.
My advice for this new business is to reconsider your staffing as that will cause a business to fail quickly. Put a more friendly/non lazy person handing...
Read moreWe arrived here Saturday morning at 6:00 am when they opened .
There were approximately 6 young ladies working behind The counter along with someone wearing a shirt with giant letters that said " OWNER", I guess so the public could make sure they know who she was.
Apparently their cash register system forces them to key in every single bagel you are getting so if you're ordering a dozen to go not sliced not toasted just 12 bagels in a bag to go the young lady at the register has to figure out how to key in each individual one.
I also asked for a tub of cream cheese in a tub of whipped butter.
After it took 15 minutes and three people to put our order together because they couldn't figure out how to really manage this The owner had to pull them aside and explained to them that different bagels had to go into different bags inside the large bag which is a good thing because it keeps the onion bagels from mingling with the plain bagels I guess.
"Amy" who I'm assuming is the lead behind the cash register and bagel packing team assured me when I asked her specifically if there were 12 bagels in that bag and she said absolutely yes.
When we finally made it out of the store and got home of course there was only 10 bagels not the 12 I ordered and paid for not the 13 bakers dozen that usually happens....just 10.
Two small containers of whipped cream or in the package which was great along with 11 packages of pork stone knife napkin combos in about seven little pats of butter not a tub not a container not even an old stick.
Okay well I had some butter at home wish I could microwave and then go ahead and use however these bagels were already stale first thing in the morning second customer in line and I have less bagels than I paid for, they taste like the worst grocery store bagel imaginable and they tasted like they were a day old not fresh at all by any means.
There is not a chance I would go back to this place even if the...
