T-Bows 33 Lounge & Package — Restaurant in Lakeland

This was an unplanned stop for us traveling back to Clearwater from Orlando just trying to get some hair of the dog after our concert 😅 It wound up being an awesome experience for me, my fiancé and best friend. Honestly we felt a little weird and intimated going into what clearly looked like a tight-knit local bar but our fears were squashed immediately by the inviting demeanor not only from our bartender but the patrons as well. We wound up staying for hours just talking and genuinely having an amazing time. April (our bartender) was attentive, hilarious, sweet, welcoming and the list goes on. Not to mention the fact it was our first time there and she immediately offered us food from the buffet they had set out for free. Used to love this place but got a really bad taste in my mouth last time. I was there with my son in law who is half Hispanic and the staff and clientele were incredibly rude to him. Telling him "we don't need you're kind here" and telling us to get off the property as we were outside waiting for our Uber. Very low brow and frankly pretty disgusting. I was absolutely shocked. I've been here many times by myself or with other friends and had a good time and thought everyone was friendly and good natured. I can't believe a place would do that to a person for no reason other than his skin was too tan. I would leave 0 stars if I could. I walked in with 3 others who were looking to sing some karaoke. I had a drink from another place, was barely in the door and just looking around to see the place. A lady came up to me as I’m watching someone sing karaoke (I was in there for less than a minute) and says “you’re not allowed to bring drinks in my bar.” So I said “no problem, I didn’t realize. I will take it and walk out”. My mistake for bringing the drink in because we were just looking to see if this was a place for us. This “owner” proceeds to snatch the drink out of my hand and says “no I’m the owner” and walks away. Didn’t even ask who I was, why I was there, or try to tell me I needed to finish the drink outside...
