First time visiting the area found it based upon the Yelp reviews. I called the person who answered was very pleasant. Found the location its very nice shopping area- quaint little place. We arrived at 11:43...waiter (Andy) greeted us at 11:47. He come with water, as I'm asking if he could bring lemon he walks away to another table in the midst of me speaking. I got the attention of two other ladies who were cleaning the table next to me I asked her for lemon, straw and question about a menu item. She came back with the straws and answered any questions before Andy our waiter returned with the lemon. I noticed young man well dressed who appears to be management. I later noticed another couple arrive and the manager spent a lot of time at there table which could of been his parents. They order and meal came out less than 10 minutes.

Our food finally comes out (30 minutes later) the plate is warm but food is room temp, pancake tough, eggs cold & hard. I'm not pleased because Andy did not come to see if the food was ok, if we had everything we needed or if we wanted/ needed anything.

The manager is now serving other tables an finally make his way to our table. We sent our plates back because the food was unsatisfactory.

12:16pm the replacement came out the couple next to us who arrive maybe 5-10 after us received there food at 12 noon. The lady express to us that she felt bad for us because they order after us but got served before we did.

The second (12:22) time my food was great, pancake was nice size and it wasn't too thick, bacon was crisp, eggs were yellow an scrambled just right.

Andy never brought the toast to the table, asked for hot sauce and mustard it came after asking twice an delivered by another waiter. We mentioned this all to Andy and he was very apologetic but never rectified the issue.

Thank you Justin for taking care of our food. Andy thank you for remaining professional.

Recommendation:

  1. when your server has a large party send help so he/she does not neglect other customer tables
  2. waiter familiarize yourself with the menu so if items comes with a meal make sure all items are serve
  3. Ask if any condiments are needed
  4. waiter when the order is being delivered to the table by your peers make sure your less than a minute to the table to assure all items are correct
  5. Manager when ever visiting tables always acknowledged yourself by name not by I'm the owner.
  6. The floors are nice but the tables rocks, balance them out so customer food not slanted or constantly rocking (very annoyed) I had to put a napkin to keep it from rocking

The place is very nice, beautiful setup but the service needs improvement. I would return but not if I'm hungry not a good choice if you're...

First time visiting this establishment. Wish we would say that we were impressed, but we weren't.

Service: Our server was fairly clueless. Never mentioned the dinner specials (we learned from overhearing other servers what they were). Never checked back with us to see if things are been delivered correctly or if we liked the food. Was slow to clear empty plates, had to flag her down to find out if there were dessert offerings (she had no idea what they were) and had to flag her down again to get the check. One star service at best.

Food The fried green tomatoes, which apparently you can get a plate of by themselves if you ask, had a nice thin and perfectly done breading. Sadly, the tomatoes themselves were mushy and had zero flavor.

The butternut squash soup was surprisingly spicy - something which our waitress (who claimed this was her favorite soup) failed to mention. Fortunately, my husband had ordered a salad and was willing to trade with me since our waitress was no where to be found and we were hungry. The salad was fresh and tasty; the homemade raspberry dressing was more like a puree than a dressing but had good flavor.

We ordered two entrees to share - the fancy fried chicken and the blackberry pork chop.

The fried chicken was SO salty it was practically inedible. Again, our waitress was no where to be seen so that we could let her know that wanted to trade it for something else. Then came the surprise of the collards - they are billed as 'candied' and we were worried that they would be too sweet. WRONG! They are spicy. No warning on the menu or from the clueless server. The chicken was also served with 'mac & cheese' potatoes which had a nice flavor but someone neglected to actually cook the potatoes properly.

With our last hope being the blackberry pork chop, we found it the good-sized chop to have a fair amount of fat which was covered with the blackberry-pecan topping. Good flavor overall and certainly better than the chicken. The cheesy grits that accompanied this dish were delicious.

After waiting for quite some time to flag down said AWOL server, we finally scored a piece of the flourless chocolate torte. This is the ONLY reason my review is not a one star affair. The torte was truly divine. Rich and smooth and thankfully not covered with raspberry syrup like so many establishments tend to [over] do.

The beer list is impressive although most of the descriptions are cut off which was annoying.

Once the restaurant filled up, it gets very noisy as acoustics are poor.

We might give them another try but will hope for a better server and stay away from...

If you're looking for a dining experience that combines culinary artistry with a welcoming atmosphere, Crafted is the place to be. Nestled in the heart of Libbie Mill; this gem has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

From the moment you walk in, the ambiance strikes you with its warm lighting and stylish décor, creating an inviting backdrop for a memorable meal. The open kitchen design allows diners to catch a glimpse of the culinary team in action, showcasing the craftsmanship that goes into every dish.

The menu at Crafted is a delightful mix of seasonal ingredients and innovative flavors. Each dish is thoughtfully curated, with options that cater to various dietary preferences. I started with the salad, which was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. The combination of creamy goat cheese, candied walnuts, and a tangy citrus vinaigrette was simply divine.

For the main course, I opted for the tennesse lady bird, and it did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection, the chicken was flaky and tender, complemented by a vibrant ranch sauce and a side of seasonal vegetables that were fresh and crisp. Each bite was a testament to the chef's attention to detail and commitment to quality.

But what truly elevated my experience at Crafted was the bar. Enter Matt, the bartender extraordinaire. With a friendly demeanor and an impressive knowledge of mixology, Matt crafts cocktails that are as tasty as they are artful. I asked for a recommendation, and he whipped up a refreshing gin and elderflower concoction that was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy.

Matt's passion for his craft is evident in every drink he prepares. He takes the time to explain the ingredients and the inspiration behind each cocktail, making the experience feel personalized. It's not just about pouring drinks; it's about creating an experience that enhances the overall dining adventure.

As the evening wound down, I couldn't resist sampling one of Matt's dessert cocktails—a rich espresso martini that was the ideal sweet ending to a fantastic meal.

Overall, my experience at Crafted was nothing short of exceptional. From the delicious food to the stellar service, particularly from the talented bartender Matt, I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great night out, Crafted is a must-visit destination. Highly...

Went here for my daughter's birthday dinner. I ordered the fancy fried chicken. It was a rather small and thin chicken fillet. It was fried well, but the meat was dry and had no seasoning. The small portion of mac and cheese was also bland. The collards were pretty good and had a little bit of heat. I requested some hot sauce for the chicken to add some extra flavor. I later discovered I was charged $.75 for a small cup of house made hot sauce. The salad that came with the meal was very good. Service was not great. We were told we would have 3 waitresses, but we only saw one. She was friendly, but not attentive. We had to wait for water refills, wait for sauces. She didn't tell us that there was a charge for additional sauce, which I've NEVER seen at a restaurant like this. $23 for a small chicken fillet that wasn't even big enough to use on a sandwich, a little mac and cheese and some collards. That wasn't enough, so they charged extra for a small cup of hot sauce. I just wanted a bottle of Texas Pete. Also, the menu doesn't mention that burgers and sandwiches come with fries, but they do. My son ordered waffle fries with his burger, not realizing they came with standard fries, which he was fine with. It was only after further questioning that she told us his burger came with regular fries and waffle fries would cost extra. Crafted has great reviews and there are other items on the menu I would be interested in trying, but based on my experience, I would be hesitant to return.

This casual trendy spot, makes my top 10 for RVA. Incredible value, great environment, close to Scott's edition, and the food is fantastic! TLDR: They make great drinks, Seabass for $17, and they serve Nightingale ice cream. We has 4 drinks, 1 app, 2 entrées and 1 dessert, tipped 20 and its $130. You could easily leave here under $50 for just dinner. The food and service are on point. We'll done Crafted! Appetizers: Going with a party has its benefits! Wings, crab dip, and Sliders. They were all very well seasoned, and tasty. Quickly devoured by everyone. Food: I went with the Fishmonger option which happen to be Seabass. It was $17 and completely out did the Boathouse and their $30 take at it in Short Pump. We also has the ravioli, burgers and salad options. Everyone seemed very pleased with their food. It's priced great at this level of quality too. Drinks: I had them prepare Whiskey sours for me which were done very nicely. Their cocktails seemed great and the beer selection was extensive (80+). Desserts: Nightingale cookie monster was amazing. The chocolate peanut butter cake was only OK. The other options are better. Atmosphere: Fun trendy and clean. I'll add more pics later of the scene. Expect a good environment to enjoy your time here. Staff was great and tolerated our large parties nonsense. Overall, I highly recommend you check out Crafted RVA!
