I’ve come to this Starbucks a lot and I usually love it as someone I live with works here so I typically come on their shifts, like I legit came in here yesterday and it was great and everyone was friendly but this afternoon everything just seemed kinda off. Usually I’m greeted upon entrance but today was met with silence, and I had my federally protected ESA with me in her proper service apparel (she’s trained and well behaved) and upon entrance was told animals aren’t allowed which is something I’ve never had be an issue before and I had to explain she was a service dog. Technically it’s not legal for someone to question you on service animals so that was a little concerning. the barista (their nametag said Elliot) who was asking me about it seemed kind of unwelcoming and some of the baristas seemed to be doubtful but I tried to look past it. The team seemed a bit disjointed and split rather than working together which I’ve never noticed here before but I also had the barista on bar (Their nametag said Jackson) ask me several times about specific drink mods that were already marked on the label (i know what the label should say as I get this drink every day) and they kept seeming openly irritated and making comments to me about the cashier for mistakes she didn’t make. The cashier was super friendly and helpful though her name tag said Dhayla :) I got what I ordered fine other than my shaken espresso already being mixed when I got it but that’s really not a big deal. I felt discriminated against because the workers doubted my animals ESA status and tried to keep her from coming in. It’d be one thing I guess if she was getting into stuff or messing on the floor but she was completely docile and wasn’t...
Read moreI frequently visit this location and after today I will not be returning. I’m a night shift nurse so it’s not uncommon for me to be running around the majority of my shift. I always order the iced brown sugar shaken espresso. On the nights that I work, I ask for it to be without ice so that it doesn’t get watered down by the time I’m able to drink it. I never have an issue with this request. Today I was immediately told “we will have to decrease the amount of espresso in your drink then”. Not wanting to cause any uproar as I was heading to work after, I simply said “okay that’s fine”. At the window, I paid for my drink and then was told “So just to let you know as of next week we’re changing the way we make the drink so you won’t be able to get it without ice. It will have to come as is” in a rude tone. I said “okay, that’s fine thank you”. Again, not wanting to cause an uproar. It’s a simple request so I don’t understand why I was treated in such a manner but I did not appreciate it. I will not be returning to...
Read moreI have visited this place 20+ times and the consistency in service, coffee quality, and cleanliness is astonishing. The current diverse lgbt friendly staff is probably one of the best and coming from a professional background, I can attest to how well they operate as a unit.
What dings s star off is the noise pollution, even with noise dampeners in the ceiling this branch consistently plays louder music and baristas tend to be ruthlessly loud with their equipment slamming comparing to other coffee shops. Partly due to the high traffic warranting them to work faster.
Installing additional dampeners and investing in kitchen rubber mats could go a long way in battling sound, crowd, and kitchen noises from reaching over...
