If you have not experienced a Brazilian Steakhouse, it is a high end kind of all you can eat affair. Generally it is a single price for the whole meal, not counting drinks or desserts. Most feature a broad range of meats served off long sword like skewers at your table side. Servers of a particular meat choice go from table to table, and most places have at least 6 or so choices circulating in the room at a time with maybe as many as 14 choices offered during your meal. They'll continue to serve your choices, quite frequently, as long as you like. They also have a extensive salad and tapas bar. We visited SP Brazilian on a Monday Evening just before Christmas, and it was a very slow night for them. With fewer fellow diners in attendance we were concerned this would impact the quality and/or availability of meat selections. We were quite wrong! The service was as wonderful as we could have hoped, with at least 10 expertly prepared and served meat choices. The salad bar was lavish and perfectly fresh. Expect to pay about $56 per diner. Also expect wine and bar service to be a bit on the high side. Desserts are about $10. The tab for my wife and I was just over $220, with a cocktail, a modest wine selection and gratuity. Certainly not an inexpensive dining experience, but given the excellent and always present service, along with exceptional meats, sides and salads, we found SP Brazilian to be a solid value for a...
Read moreEspetos is one of my favorite churrascarias in Texas. While one of my favorites (picanha) is not as good as others all the other meats score high on my list. The Spicy picanha is exceptional as is the filet and the prime rib. One of my favorites overall is the costela de puerco(pork ribs although the beef ribs are great too). The service is impeccable. The sides are quite numerous. I tend to only like the bananas and the pan de queso (cheese bread). Their salsa is the best out of the four different churrascarias in the area. I have been numerous times and will be back! **Update 3/11/2020: I should have updated this review before now. SP's picanha has really been improved. Their spicy picanha and their original is one of the best if not the best around. Their bottom sirloin today was outstanding and their filet(multiple types) is always as good or better than most other steakhouses (not just Brazilian steakhouses). Their spicy salsa is a great compliment to their meats(not needed but awesome). I now go here regularly. Great service as well. Their prices are not to shabby either. If you're in or around Lakeway (or not) head over and give them a try. This is one we don't want to see go away! Lake Travis needs more quality places like SP Brazilian Steakhouse (formerly Espetos). **Update 6/19/2020:Their raspberry spinach salad with strawberries is a great starter for your meal and the Caesar is really...
Read moreI can summarize the restaurant in two words, Excellent Experience. This restaurant is by far my favorite one in the Austin area. From the time you walk in the door till you leave, you are treated like royalty. They define the dinning service experience. When I walk in the door wearing a hat, they will place a small hat stand by your table before you even walk into the dinning room. They push in the chairs when you sit. They make sure your water glass remains full. They make sure you have a fine dinning experience.
Once you place your order, you can immediately access the salad bar. I like to take one spoonful of most of the offerings because each one is so tasty. Their bread is a small dinner roll with cheese inside, very tasty. You can make six of them disappear quickly.
After the salad comes the meat. There are at least 16 different types of meats ranging from chicken to pork to beef and lamb. They let you have a small sliver of the ones you want so you can taste as many as possible.
This last time I was there, they brought out grilled pineapple. Oh My Goodness! It doesn't sound so good, but it makes for a great flavor enhancer to go with the meat. Make sure to ask for the grilled pineapple first so you can have it with the different meats you try.
I highly recommend this restaurant. When you need an Excellent Eating Experience, SP Brazilian Steakhouse should be...
