Son, you need to go to church..........for fried chicken repentance!

Back when I was a wee laddie, I remember Church's Chicken used to serve dinner rolls. Not caring about carbs back then, I would slice open the rolls, smear some mashed potatoes and gravy in it and commit carb overload. Sadly, a long time ago, Church's went away with their rolls in favor of biscuits. However, the great taste of their fried chicken has thankfully remained.

Church's is my favorite fried chicken chain. Other people can have their Popeye's, their KFC's - gimme Church's, cupcake!

I often receive their coupons in the mail. I frequently use the $6/5 legs & thighs, 2 sides and 2 biscuits. The chicken is always moist, juicy, tender and meaty. My favorite are the wings, which include part of the shoulder. The sides - you can't go wrong with the mashed potatoes and that delicous gravy, along with some fried okra.

Church's has offered up some new items, such as the Big Tex sandwich and the Texas Chicken. The Texas Chicken is an unbreaded 1/2 chicken. I tried it a few months ago, with my tastebuds protesting the excess salt. Hey, stick to the fried chicken & you can't go wrong!

A handful of tables are availabe for dining in, but Church's is best eaten at a party, at a picnic or in the comfort of home while watching "Dancing with the Stars." ;p

Parking is ample in a private lot shared by 7/11, El Pollo Loco and other businesses. Service has always been good.

I highly recommend Church's Chicken for some quick and delicious fried chicken. KFC be damned!...

Went in for a delivery but had to use a restroom so they were kind enough to let my daughter and I use their restroom. There was a man who was waiting on his food and as we were entering the restroom, his order was ready and he immediately caused a scene stating that it wasn’t his order and started yelling saying it wasn’t his order over and over and confusing the workers. While being in the bathroom for 5-8 minutes we were hearing him yelling the whole entire time. We got out waiting for the order and he was saying his order wasn’t it and kept on shouting and then he was telling the employees to give his money back and start all over,…they agreed but then he started threatening to them sue the company and admitting he had 4 lawsuits pending,…Everyone is over here staring at him. My daughter was feeling a little frightened by his behavior. The way I saw it was he wasn’t making any sense as to what he was complaining about. The employees handled this customer with great composure and even though he wasn’t making any sense they agreed to give his money back. We ended up getting helped outside at the window. We left the restaurant and as i was fastening my daughter’s belt. I explained to her that we don’t disrespect employees in that manner especially if we are angry and having a bad day, even hungry or even if they get their order wrong,…They work very hard to serve people because they have families to feed too. Do Not I Repeat Do Not Go To This Store! The Manager Abram is a jerk. The never get the order correct and I really think he has issues with African American people. He made me wait 30 minutes for 2 chicken wings on Sunday, June 3rd because I ask for my chicken to be hot and I wanted one spicy and one original although when I placed the order I was not offered a choice and when the young man started to fix my order I ask him if I could have the hot chicken that had just came out. He stated that that was Spicy - I replied I'll take one Spicy and one Original I like my chicken hot. That is when the Manager told me that it would be 20 minutes I stated okay with me no problems. The took so long that 2 customers noticed that it was taking a long time and waited to see how long it would take after the 30 minute wait they didn't offer me anything and then got the order wrong. And to top it off the Cookers start conversing in Spaniash in front of use and that is when the customer noticed that the one of the cooks was staring at us like she wanted to fight. As I proceed out the store I notice they where laughing I went back ask what was so funny and what was the Managers name. May I add that I went there a few months ago on a Tuesday and had a situation with the same Manager and let it slide not this time!
