Sunrise Sunset — Restaurant in Lakewood

I’ve gone to this restaurant for a very long time and it used to be great. I went three months ago and sat down and only myself and one other couple was in there. Waited five minutes before anyone came to the table and when she did she put the water pitcher on the table as she walked by and it sloshed out all over the table and she just walked away. I changed tables as they were all talking loudly and laughing at the cash register and waited another five minutes and no one even looked at me, much less take my order. I got up and left and told them I didn’t appreciate the lack of service and they just looked at each other and said, “What’s he talking about?” I left and told myself I’d never go back. But, I went there today and ordered my food and was eating it when my server brought out a big mop bucket and started washing the floor around my table and the rest of the section!! She was moving chairs all around me and twice they slammed up against my chair while I was eating. Soaking wet floor all around me. No apology. This was beyond rude so I got up without finishing my food and paid my bill and told the gal checking me out about what happened and she said the server should have never been mopping the floor around me. The manager walked by as she was mopping the floor and actually thanked her for mopping while I was sitting there! To top it off the restaurant doesn’t close until 2:00 and it was 12:15 when she was mopping the floor! I’m 68 years old and I don’t appreciate being treated in this manner. I...

I've always been a fan of Sunrise Sunset but honestly I have one favorite and it's my go to meal everytime. I don't need to see the menu I always order the Bacon Benedict. Basted eggs on English muffins with onions, mushrooms, cheese, good thick-cut bacon and great hollandaise sauce; served with diced potatoes. The potatoes are frozen not fresh but they're not grated hash browns. They have great spicy dishes here from what my friends tell me but I can't attest to that myself. I was a little disappointed to learn on my last visit that they serve only one type of bread, a whole grain. I'm not a whole grain type of person and neither was my friend. Her only other option was an English muffin. I've always had good friendly service here but I will warn you, it gets busy sometimes really busy so be prepared to wait. Unfortunately we waited an hour to get our food on our last visit two weeks ago. I think the price is reasonable for the area, nothing is cheap anymore. Lastly I'm not a huge fan of their coffee, I'll only order it if I haven't already had any coffee that day but my friends do call me a coffee snob and I like it strong. Ordered 2 blueberry pancakes about 2 weeks ago. I ordered it to the location closest to me. I showed up to pick up the order and they said they couldn’t help me at all and my order is at the other location 15 minutes away. I called the other location and they confirmed they have had the order there for awhile. They offered me free breakfast for the inconvenience but I ordered the breakfast to go for pick up because I was in a hurry to begin with, didn’t want to have to travel 15 minutes out of the way and have to come back to the area again to finish another errand I was doing. I asked for a refund instead and the manager said she would get in touch with the system that I ordered the food through, unless I missed a call I don’t believe anyone got back to me. I checked my bank statements and the order plus the pre-tip for the food I never got was still charged. I’m writing the review to warn others of this system failure when ordering to go in Lakewood area and so that someone will see this and prioritize refunding my money back, since I doubt anyone would know what I’m talking about if I just called randomly to check up on it so far past when this initially...
