I just learned that the old rojos coffee place has reopened under a new name and new ownership and thought I would give it a try, I was not disappointed. The coffee is really good, smooth, and I would add that the portion size is greater than what the previous coffee shop provided for the price. I always like to find independent coffee shops that aren't Starbucks or Dunkin donuts because I think the quality is better and Luminary coffee met that expectation. If the owners are reading this review the only thing I would add that could separate you from any other coffee shop in 100 mi radius is to offer Turkish coffee made the traditional way with a hot sand bed and you will have people traveling from miles around for that alone. I will add that like another reviewer mentioned the individual at the counter who helped me did seem a bit pretentious and looked at me as though I were asking for something that they didn't have and she was annoyed by my request. Not sure if the employees/owners are locals, but their persona will determine their long-term success in this tow, and so far this isn't a great start. Hopefully they get it right, it has...
Read moreNO WIFI AS ADVERTISED
Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal but sometimes I like to go to coffee shops to do some work, as a lot of people do. I picked this shop as it seemed to have WiFi and there was a password for WiFi at the cashier. Nothing indicated anywhere that the wifi was down. After paying over $20 for a bite of food and a cappuccino, I sat down and realized that there was no wifi. When I asked the cashier, she just kind of shrugged and said "yeah there's normally wifi but it might be down". My phone signal was also terrible inside so no ability to use it as a hotspot. Now I've wasted time and money here and I have to go to another coffee shop. There's absolutely no reason that they couldn't have simply put up a sign, letting people know in advance (other than wanting to misled people into spending their money).
Liked the atmosphere when I initially walked in but being misled like that really turned me off from coming back. There's a ton of other coffee shops in the area so I'd recommend going elsewhere if you are interested in using the...
Read moreUsed to be much better, service is slow and they seem completely disinterested in helping you. Donuts are good but they come in from another shop. The guy making the drinks must have anger issues or something because he’s always getting mad and cursing behind the counter. The last few times my latte hasn’t been filled up all the way. I also saw them use a chai concentrate that is $6 from target, you’d think for a $6 drink that the concentrate would be higher quality. In terms of the area probably the best option for coffee. Their rewards program is not really worth it. You get one stamp for every visit and it takes like 16 just to get a reward. Coffee beans and espresso are just ok. Definitely over hyped, great...
