MLK Soul Food — Restaurant in Landover

Upon entry it was clean, staff was friendly and they had breakfast rolling. It was a little after 10am when we went in. (Breakfast ends at 11am) I ordered the french toast, turkey bacon and some over easy eggs. The eggs were good, I’m an over easy, sunny side up egg person. The turkey bacon was a lil on the tough side but decent, maybe because of the time I got there, but they gave me a lot so that was cool. The French toast was good as well. My man got scrambled eggs with cheese, the sausage patties and the waffles. His scrambled eggs were ok, they just had a lot of cheese in them and gave off a taste he wasn’t really feeling. The sausage patty gave school lunch, but it was ok. And the waffle was good, nice and soft. Overall they just opened so I’m sure once the foot traffic picks, some of the food won’t seem like it’s been sitting for a sec. We placed a order through Uber Eats and one of the items was missing. When I called the restaurant, the first person that picked up the phone said “oh the order was right here we forgot to add it the order. let see what I can do.” He then passed the phone to another person which I assume was the manager or the owner. This person was rude and disrespectful. Without listening, he said everything was added and that nothing was missing and implying that we were lying. He tried to put blame that the driver stole it but I informed him the bag was sealed and the picture didn’t show all the food. I also informed him that the first person that I spoke too already said that the other order was right there and that someone forgot to put it. He then hung up the phone. I order a bacon cheeseburger and fries! Fries was brown not like if you order regular fries. Bacon was turkey bacon 3 pieces wasn't cooked well sitting on the burger. Cheese was melted well. My burger sat on the counter for 15 mins before then to long fries came out. Burger no taste. Got combo so 1st time there. The server was pleasant like. How do you mess up fries and a burger. The dinners they give a lot for the high prices. But I'm not chancing to go back for that. Since my combo wasn't good. Was not pleased. I asked about a fish sandwich which was on the board. I was told we don't do fish sandwich. You can buy a fish dinner and get 2 sides. And make a fish sandwich 🤔 who say that to a customer. I should have walked out at that point. So I will not go back.
