Wanted to get me and my partner some pho to take out. When I got home I was very disappointed. I wiped my mouth with my hands when I drank the soup, I then noticed a crazy thick layer of oil. I asked for extra beef and bro give me raw beef and my soup wasn’t even hot enough to cook it because it was a takeout order. Beef should already be prepared as far as the sauces that come with the soup they are mad stingy with both of the sauces they only put as thin as a penny on the small cups it was crazy I don’t know what happed to this place but it used to be my favorite spot before they closed it but after the new opening the food quality was different not in a good way. While the pho broth boasted an appealing amber color, its texture was cloudier than a traditional rich beef bone broth. In terms of flavor, it leaned towards the saltier side with a strong MSG presence, lacking the complex notes of aromatics such as charred onion, ginger, and star anise that one would expect from authentic pho. Also lacking was the smooth mouthfeel of long-cooked bones.
