Foose Grill — Restaurant in Lansdowne

I finally got a chance to come here a few weeks ago after my friend kept ranting and raving about their $1 shrimp Wed and Fri's. Well my eyes we so much bigger than my stomach. I got 20 instead of 10 or 15. I ate about 8 and hurt myself!! The shrimp and fries were piping hot, the shrimp was fresh and the bread was crunchy just the way i like it! The staff is nice, friendly and fast. The place is small but can accommodate a small sitting area while you wait amidst a growing line of people ready to order. POOR SERVICE!!! I placed an order by phone of 40 fried shrimp. I live 30 mins away from the store. Got all the way to the store to pick up just to be told they had NO MORE SHRIMP and was out of shrimp for about an hour before I got to the store. They took my order with my name AND phone number and no one considered to call me to inform me NOR did they offer me to get something else. This is the SECOND time I have had a poor experience with this store. The first time there were ants crawling on the counter top where they sat my container of food. Liked the fried porgy, large selection if sauces on the counter. Jamaican scotch bonnet excellent, tasty cabbage, mac n cheese, green beans, collards. No pork, just turkey and beef. Tonight was my first time there. The owner was friendly and welcoming. I will eat here again. I would like to sit there and eat in the dining room once it opens for dine in service.
