We came to eat at this Arbyâs location, June 10. When I went up to order our sandwiches, the man taking our order seemed to be under the influence of something. He kept messing up our order and apologizing repeatedly. This wouldnât have been a big deal (no matter how annoying) except that I had specifically ordered a âclassic sandwichâ with no sauce and asked if they could add some provolone cheese. After checking with his manager (who was preparing the sandwiches) the manager asked if I would like their âoverly processed cheap cheeseâ (his words) or some âlocal brand.â I obviously chose the latter. That interaction alone left not a great taste in my mouth for the cheese choice I could have been landed with. When our sandwiches were served I took a bite into mine only to discover that there was BBQ sauce layered on. Not too bothered I sat with our baby while my husband went back up to the counter to ask if they could remake the sandwich with no sauce. The young man who previously took our order said âno problem.â My husband came back to our table and finished his meal. After roughly 10 minutes or so my husband went back up to the counter to ask if the sandwich had been remade yet, to which the employee responded âoh yeah, my manager said noâ. It was a bit shocking that no one came to tell us that the sandwich wasnât being remade. The employee then asked my husband if he would like to speak to the manager, the answer was yes. The manager then came around to the front, my husband again asked if he could remake the sandwich as it was wrong. He was then told by the manager âif you wanted no sauce you should have said no sauce.â Hearing this interaction I then came up to the counter and informed the manager that I had specifically asked for no sauce and that it wasnât a big deal we would just like a sandwich made with no sauce. The managerâs response to me, was that he didnât hear me say âno sauceâ I asked how he had heard anything as he was in the back of the store when we had been ordering. He continued to argue me stating that he would have heard it had I said that. After a few more minutes of argument, my husband and I became so uncomfortable with the exchange we ended up just leaving. I am so disappointed in the total lack of customer service. Weâve always enjoyed Arbyâs and have never encountered this kind of treatment in the past. This experience unfortunately has left a very sour taste in our mouths, regrettably the actions of a few shadow Arbyâs as a whole. Itâs a sad day when not even the bare minimum...
Read moreEveryone I know in the Capital Region of NYS loves Arbyâs but the only Arbyâs we have are about 1/4 mile apart on the same street (Wolf Rd. Albany) and both are inconvenient. One is in a Food Court at a busy mall (so that makes sense for shoppers/movie patrons) but the other location on the same street has no drive through and little parking. Momâs with kids will almost always choose a drive through, as well as people on short lunch hours, or with elderly people in the car, those non-ambulatory and sooo many people with limited time. Not only does it force us to choose your competitors (which skews your popularity reports) but itâs a massively untapped market for that store. I have a friend an hour west who begs me to go 15 minutes out of my way (1/2 hour total) just to get him an Arby on the rare occasion Iâm heading his way. Food is great, kudos for putting your sauces in retail stores but Iâm still waiting for an Arbyâs near the Niskayuna, Schenectady, Guilderland or Rotterdam area. BTW, just got home from a road trip vaca in several western states and got to stop at several Arbyâs on the highways!! It will never be enough. I should tell you until I recently retired, I was a 6-figure senior director for corporate relations/development and eat in upscale restaurants daily but it never changed my desire to also eat at Arbyâs. Please keep up the great work!! And stay competitive - if sales are low in this area itâs not because of your food, service, cleanliness etc., itâs because of the...
Read moreWorst customer service on November 13th at 4:45pm. I went in a customer had already ordered when her food was ready she said thank you and Maliki the manager didnât even say your welcome or smile just put her food on the counter want went on his way. I went into Arbyâs the manager Maliki decided to take my order he didnât even seem like he wanted to be at work. He mumbled how can I help you, didnât even ask me if I wanted a receipt had to rip it off myself from the machine. Then when he got someone elseâs order ready for drive-thru he put his whole hand over the fries which is sickening who know where his hands could have been đ. Then he litterly mumbled my orders ready and put a napkins in the bag and didnât ask for any sauce or anything and no smile. He litterly walked away before I even got my order didnât feel welcomed or anything in this store worst experience I have had and will hopefully not return to this location. He needs a lot of customer service help to be a manager even if you are short staffed doesnât mean for...
