RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLY: You are incorrect. Allergies, fear of dogs, and health codes are not acceptable reasons to deny access to service animals. Also, SERVICE ANIMALS ARE NOT PETS. As long as I am not in direct food handling/prep areas service animals are allowed. As a business open to the public you need to be educated about accessibility. I am happy to come in and train you and your employees on ADA. Just email me privately.

Edited from a 5 to 3 stars Visited niko's in person with my partner. We were about to be seated by the hostess when a man working behind the counter came up to me and asked if i would leave my service dog outside. Im sorry, do you ask walkers and wheelchairs to stay outside too??? My partner handed them an ADA card with the laws, and we were seated finally. Laramie is a very progressive town and I'm shocked by this access issue. Its demeaning to be asked to keep your medical equipment outside. My dog has gone over 2000 hours of training and behaved to extremely high standards.

Had takeout for the first time. Ordered the aspen and rising sun rolls. Super delicious and fresh, even right before closing. Was happy to learn that there is a discount when ordering an hour prior to closing! Will definitely come again, especially for the rising sun roll. I grew up in the SF bay and am used to higher quality sushi. Niko sushi 🍣 is on par with what Ive tasted. Very...

Overall, I love this place. It has great food and normally has great service. I’ve been going there for years now. It’s been my favorite place in town, so to me it has earned this 5 star. However, today I went with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. We got the blonde waiter that I’ve never been a big fan on. He often doesn’t check in and our drinks tend to me empty most of the time when I have him. Despite this, I’ve always tipped 20% or more (my mum taught me this and I’ve done it my whole life). Today was no different. We ordered extra stuff and did ask for a few things. He didn’t bring my second bowl of rice which came with what I ordered or the salad dressing. A few times I had to look over at him for him to come so I could ask for a refill. I said please and thank you, but I’ll admit I wasn’t the happiest looking. After we get the check, I hear him say to the other waitress, something like “I bet they won’t even tip” in such a rude tone, and I’m literally on the other side of the whole area from him. He’s by the cash register, and we are at the back wall. Not once have I ever tipped him less than 20% for his poor service. I recognize that he isn’t the business, but it is so frustrating every time...

We ordered delivery for dinner. Were told at the time of order it would be an hour to hour and 45 minutes. We ordered a variety of rolls and nigiri as well as a Teriyaki combination plate; came with soup (miso or mushroom,, opted for the mushroom), green salad with ginger dressing, and I subbed Chicken Fried Rice for an additional $1.50 upcharge. Also ordered Agedashi tofu and seaweed salad.

My husband said the sushi was okay, not as good as what we've had in NYC or Hawaii. I'm allergic to shellfish so couldn't have any of the sushi he ordered.

The mushroom soup was horrible! Not sure what flavor the soup was supposed to be but it was weird. Ended up down the drain. The Teriyaki sauce was cloyingly sweet and I could not eat it on either the chicken or beef. My puppy enjoyed the beef and chicken without any sauce, as well as the chicken fried rice, as I, did not. The seaweed salad was great and the best dish was the Agedashi Tofu; flavor was on point and they actually use katsuo boshi flakes on top!

Overall, this place is probably considered good Sushi and Japanese food, for Wyoming. I've had a lot better elsewhere and most likely won't be ordering their...

For the flavor, not the fill. The Hibachi Steak was EXTREMELY SMALL (see picture) and overpriced for the quantity given. I expected it to be small portions because it's hibachi, but it was much smaller than expected it's only about 7 small bite-sized pieces. However, the quality was very good and the sushi was even better and priced about average for this type of restaurant. Despite my severe disappointment in quantity, I enjoyed the quality of the meal. I very well may return, but will not waste my money on the Hibachi Steak again. The atmosphere is clean, quaint and a bit noisy during dinner hours. But, it is across the street from the University so I wasn't expecting it to be a quiet place.
