Cakeland Bakery — Restaurant in Laredo

I went order a cake for my daughter birthday party and payed head of time for to be done by 12pm went at 1:30pm to pick it up and didn’t have ready on time and they didn’t even know what design it was to suppose to be . I’m like oh ok .. I had show it to her which one it was .. when it was ready . when I get there to surprise my daughter for her cake. when it was time sing happy birthday . The cake design print came all off.. it was embarrassing Cause I had Guest And her friends from school saw that .. I went the next day to tell them I took pic and showed them . I just came back from the cakeland on Mcpherson. Terrible customer service! Terrible ! The girl that was "helping" us was rude, indifferent and cold. While I was trying to explain to her my cake design, she looked at my paper like it was rocket science or something. She looked like she was in a bood mood and she didnt want to be at work but was laughing with one of her coworkers before she came to the register. She made me feel very bad. This was a cake for a very special occasion and her lack of enthusiasm and attention to the customer made it seem like she did not want to take my order!!!! I can not believe they would hire someone so unprofessional like...

Got a red velvet cake from here and it was not good, my main complaint is the icing, who puts cool whip type of icing on a red velvet, they should have cream cheese icing period! The cake itself wasn’t awful but definitely nothing great ...might as well have bought from Walmart’s bakery and I’m sure it would’ve been much cheaper. Thirty dollars for a fairly small “red velvet cake” that wasn’t good. Sorry a cake bakery should know what kind of icing goes on certain cakes. It’d be like baking a chocolate cake and putting vanilla icing on it and calling it a German chocolate cake...it just doesn’t...
