If you’re craving a true homestyle Mexican breakfast, this place delivers that comforting, “just like home” feeling from the moment your plate hits the table. The vibe is cozy and familiar—like stepping into a kitchen where someone’s been cooking since sunrise, filling the air with the aroma of fresh tortillas, simmering chorizo, and warm café de olla.
But the real standout? The locally loved biscuits. These things are unbelievably good—soft, warm, and perfectly buttery, with that golden, flaky texture that melts the moment you take a bite. They pair beautifully with the savory dishes, adding the perfect touch of comfort to every plate.
Every bite feels like tradition and local flavor coming together, making this breakfast spot one of those places you can’t help but tell your friends about. It’s inviting, it’s delicious, and it’s the kind of meal that leaves you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished...
Read moreI am proud to be part of this treasured panadería legacy. My great grandfather opened La Reynera in November 1928. I have been coming to my family’s bakery since I was born 42yrs ago which was pasted on to my grandfather and now to my Tìo. I recently took my boyfriend and he fell in love with the bakery as well. The bakers were trained by my great grandfather and continue to bake the most amazing pan de dulce I will ever eat (the 5hr drive from Houston to eat at La Reynera and visit with my Tìo & Tìa is worth it). Campechanas have been my go to since I was 5yrs old and to this day along with my papas con corizo tacos. The biscuits are a staple and are melt in your mouth delicious 91yrs later. La Reynera is a Laredo treasure and will take your taste buds back when life was homemade...
Read moreLa Reynera is old! I think it has been here since November of 1978....and it is not going anywhere! There is always a jam for parking which is very limited. They have however secured some additional parking from the closed store across the street. You can expect to pay 1990 prices too! Very affordable compared to most restaurants today. Laredo's finest elderly love this place and it is always packed for breakfast. I would come here more for the huevos rancheros than the pan. Not too much selection of baked goods. Looks like an old diner with cheap tables and chairs, but great food and coffee. Our food always comes out really quick and the service is always pleasant. I love the quaint historic feel of this place. Feels like a time warp...
