Sports Shack Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Largo

Alright I've been saving this review; now here it is. Although there are amazing people such as Nicole and Sean. This review goes out to, 1st and foremost Lynn, and last but not least Selene- and the chefs/cooks.

Lynn is a pilar of this establishment. Not only does she provide eye appeal, but shes intelligent & can cater to any and all of your needs. She's a firm and sweet bartender that may be willing to serve you and assist you in making your desires a reality. She really listens to you!!!!! She slows it down to remind you that you are truly special. I adore the ambience that provides on any and every night that you come into this place. So much so that I have more friends, co-workers, and teammates that I reserve my right not to bring them to this place, because there arrogance would make me feel disrespected because they walk in with their bankroll as their confidence as if they though this were some kind of corporate chain instead of something like an amazing mom & pop restaurant and bar. With that being said, she is more than capable of giving you personal and individual attention- satisfying all of your needs. Selene also has a very southern down to earth way about her that ensures that you feel more than welcome to enjoy all that this place has to show you the reason why this place is amazingly successful. The drinks slanged by LYNN & NICOLE are Superior to any other place in Largo, St. Pete.,and Clearwater. I love the way this place is incredibly underrated. The food has ALWAYS SUPERSEDED any of my expectations and desires. I save coming her until I feel there is no other restaurant that could provide me with my desired satisfaction; including the ones considered to he, upscale\high end.

The Chicken Parmesan is to die, live, die & live again for. Both the sandwich, and my favorite is the noodle/spaghetti dinner. Absolutely, deliciously, AMAZING!!!!!

This is just the icing on the cake!! There is so much more!

5 STARS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!! 2 Thumbs Up doesn't quite do it justice. A Hive isn't quiet good enough. An INTIMATE HUG is worth it ONLY if you're WORTHY of experience the Homestyle Feel available to you!!!

My guy stops here after golf and always has a good time and enjoys the food. Yesterday he asked if I wanted to try it out. When we walked in there was one table occupied on the deck, inside it was empty. A voice rang out saying to choose wherever we wanted to sit. We decided to take a seat at the bar.

Brandy, bartender, poured our drinks and had time at that point to chat. A couple of regulars came in too.

The establishment is a bit worn in a good providing a real beachy vibe awY from the beach. The huge deck is covered and surrounded by palm trees providing privacy and a cozy atmosphere for the patrons. Brandy told us that there would be a local group performing raggae starting at 7 - a favorite of the locals.

Although many items on the menu and the daily specials were tempting, we decided to order grilled wings two ways. Sports Shack mild Buffalo and blackened with hot Buffalo sauce on the side, a choice of blue cheese or ranch was offered (no celery with the order). The wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Perfect.

Around 4 o'clock, tables inside and outside were rapidly filling up including an eight top! Being the foodie I am, I took a peep at a few of the plates coming out. Pizza, pulled pork sliders, fish & chips - all looked delicious. A lady seated a few seats away raved about the skinny margarita that Brandy makes for her.

It was a nice afternoon for sure. The restaurant was clean, Brandy was awesome. This would be a good place for a group of friends to hang out. By the way, there is free parking on...

So sorry We had to pass on a good tip. 1st round of Drinks were fine including an appetizer. Afterward, Our Waitress just disappeared for 30 minutes. After inquiring with another Waiter on The job, said He would take care of Our order but then He ignored Us. We would have ordered Dinner but We were just overlooked. Finally ordered a Chardonnay and a Budwiser but Our Drinks sat on the Bar waiting to be sent to Our table. We knew this because My Lady said "Let's pay and just go". We went to the Bar area to pay and Our Drinks were just setting there on The Bar. Drinks were warm by then and We told The Staff, We don't want it and had to leave. They tried to charge Us for The 2 Drinks that were Never brought to Our table but We refused to pay for The 2 Drinks and She took it off Our bill. They were only at around 25% capacity and had difficulty keeping up apparently. The Waitress came out to Our table with some excuse about doing other things not related to Customer Service. We usually tip 15 to 20% but this was the 1st time in years, We could not even tip one cent. The Food was good however. Inside and out in the open air seating area is in bad need of an upgrade. What was that smell in The Inside Dinning area? Just saying as it was on This particular day. We have had Dinner at this Place previously but all aside, if They get a little busy the staff seems to get overwhelmed. We would go back but when Not so...
