Sushi Spot Noodle World is by far our favorite "special occasion" restaurant. Their sushi is definitely among the best in the area - we've had just about every roll on the menu before, and you can't go wrong! Some of our personal favorites are: Honda Roll, 008 Roll, & the Tuna Tornado Roll. But really, they're all amazing! Unfortunately, I always forget to get photos of their sushi, because it's so tempting, we dig in before thinking about pics!! Lol! If you branch out past the sushi, the rest of their menu is loaded with delicious options as well. Their noodle dishes are a delight - our favorites are Angry Pasta (green curry sauce that's creamy and a tad spicy) & See-Through Noodles (fresh veggies & fun curly rice noodles). Tonight (our most recent visit), we tried a couple new entrées: Grouper Chilli (misspelled "Gouper" on the menu) & Salmon Teriyaki. Both were phenomenal! The Chilli dish isn't too spicy, but has a pleasant kick of flavor and a delightful texture. It's hard to describe, but it's a treat for the taste buds! The Teriyaki Salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. Made with sushi-grade salmon (or at least that's what our waitress said?), it was flaky and moist - not fishy or dry etc! It's such a simple dish, but they really made it taste like a delicacy! We'll definitely order these again! With all the delights that await though, you can expect a hefty bill by the end of the night. I suppose it's possible to keep the cost down if you've got incredible self-discipline... but for the 2 of us, $50-100 is the norm. We do usually have some leftovers, but this place is surely one of the more expensive places we dine at. That said, it's always well worth it. Just be aware. ;) That's why I consider this place a "special occasion" restaurant, as the budget necessitates that we only go very occasionally.

This hibachi is amazing! The chef is so good. A great chef, plus he's funny and puts on a great show too. All of the food was great! Cooked perfectly, and pretty fast too. I got the Ichiban, which is steak, shrimp, & chicken. It also comes with fresh fried rice, noodles, veggies, miso soup, and salad. It was a ton of food and so delicious. It's not cheap, but considering the quality of food, preparation, and experience of it all it's well worth it. We will for sure definitely be back here. A+! FYI, hibachi is for dinner only and you must make a reservation. There is a slim chance a walk in will be permitted for hibachi, but it's very unlikely.

We love the fresh sushi and specials at Sushi Spot so we tried the new hibatchi tonight. The same exceptional food and service we experience on the sushi side were duplicated on the hibatchi side. Joey is both a great chef and a terrific entertainer. The food quality was much better than much of the hibatchi we have had in the past, and the portions were generous. They make their own ginger dressing for the salad in house, and it is so tasty. Their hibatchi popularity is growing after only a couple of months open as every seat was filled when we left. The food, service, and quality are unmatched in our area.

My wife and I been to the Noodle Spot many times and have always had a positive experience. The NS has been our "go to Sushi restaurant" for quite a while now. Recently, we picked up an order to go and ate at home. My wife always orders the Spicy Alaskan cooked (probably 20+ times prior to this). This time however, something was very different about it, the Salmon seemed over cooked or something, it was very hard and did not taste right. Then within about an hour my wife felt sick. I called the Noodle Spot and spoke with the manager, describing the issue and expressing our concerns now that my wife felt ill. The manager was very nice and told us we could get 2 rolls for free the next time we came in or placed an order to go. We were satisfied and happy that she offered to comp us. We felt this was fair!

Today I placed an order to go and requested our two free rolls. On the phone everything seemed fine. When I arrived at the Noodle Spot to pick up my order, I noticed we were billed for the full order (btw we ordered more than just the two rolls and the rolls we chose were generic cheap rolls, not the expensive specialty rolls). I again explained the circumstances and what was promised to us to the waitress that was helping me. She was very rude to me and called the manager. Minutes later the manager came over and I again explained. She told me she remembered me and had watched the video from the evening we called in. She stated nothing was wrong with the rolls and that no one else has complained. It was as if she was insinuating that we were lying or making it up. I explained, in a kind way, that we have visited the restaurant many times and love it, though this one time something was off. I was shocked by her reaction and her general demeanor towards me. A complete 180 from the fair treatment we received when I called in that evening.

Right as I was about to leave, she insisted that I look over the food I was picking up, to ensure there were no issues with it. But, it wasn't a kind, genuine, caring suggestion, she was being snarky. Come on! This is unfortunate because we have been to the Noodle Spot probably 40+ times and have always enjoyed it. After the experience today, we will...

A friend of mine brought me here over 8 years ago and it is by far the best sushi place I've had in the Tampa Bay area. We started out with the Sexy Man Roll extra spicy and the Volcano Roll (which I always thought of as a good staple to judge sushi restaurants by).

The presentation of the sushi rolls was amazing and so was the taste. The Volcano Roll was better than I could ever expect. The mountain of warm mix was creamy and rich. By far the best I had had in the Tampa Bay area.

The Sexy Man Roll was even more amazing than the Volcano Roll! You first bite into the tempura crunch on top, then taste the many levels of flavor (sweet, spicy, creamy), and then finally you hit the fresh cool fish in the middle.

Years later, the owner recommended my get the Lobster Roll and from that point on that was "The Staple". Imagine taking both the Volcano Roll and Sexy Man Roll and combining them. Even then you don't even come close. The creamy rich taste of the scallops and lobster are offset with the crunch from the deep fried roll. Fair warning ... the Lobster Roll is made for two people.

Besides great sushi this place also has some of the best soups in the Tampa Bay area too. Won Ton Soup ... amazing. Vegetable Soup ... awesome. Coconut Soup ... to die for! Recently I tried the Udon Noodle Soup and Soba Noodle Soup and was super impressed at all the layers of flavor and softness of the noodles.

I have moved away from Florida and miss the Sushi Spot. When I come back through this place is THE PLACE for me to...
