Thai Basil — Restaurant in Largo

Family dinner time decided to try this place after looking at the prices online .which the prices are higher in person versus the online. I thought that’s Misleading . we usually go to west bay Thai basil but we won’t be back to east bay location .I was wondering why only Togo orders were coming in . I thought it was because it was raining, but there’s a sewage smell that makes it unpleasant to sit and wait for the food while it smells like ... no air freshener to mask it or nothing.strike 2.The server was older woman that started off friendly but as soon as I returned the steamed dumplings after asking if it is vegetables she was no longer pleasant.strike 3.We placed our order then 3 min later I noticed there was no details under the steamed dumplings just fried or steamed dumplings when I went to verify what was in it since we’re Vegan she said “pork and its already made “didn’t try to accommodate us just stood there as if i have to eat it .Then when I tried to order something the same price to replace it and apologize for the confusion she responded something in her language .which obviously wasn’t appropriate otherwise she would have just said it in English strike 4. Very rude!even my husband said her mood wasn’t the same and he felt it change which Made it even more uncomfortable to eat. Mind you we spent $70+ . The veggie rolls was drenched in oil and the pad Thai was drenched in ketchup with little veggies and the spices noodles had zero spice.no heat! I ordered my food through Uber eats as they were not open I selected a time period between 12 and 1230.. I was monitoring my Uber was monitoring my Uber eats app app and notice that they were already preparing the food after they opened at 11:15 and then someone was scheduled to bring the food bring the food at 12 . That driver evidently declined a declined, and a new driver was found and that driver did not come till 12:30. I asked if the food was still hot and he indicated it was but when he arrived and I unwrapped the food, it was cold, soggy and not very good. I called the restraunt and the manager was too busy to speak with me. My understanding is that if the first driver doesn't show, the meal would be made again so the person ordering has hot meal. This was not the case and I paid a premium for this meal. The driver also said he was given other orders to make along the way which delayed my food even more....

Ok, so I've been here twice now, two days in a row (LOL) and I have to say, it's pretty good from what I've tried so far! I think the pad thai would be the real test, but I haven't ordered that yet. Super friendly service. I'm pretty polite too, so we were saying "thank you" back and forth to each other probably 3 times too many.

Interior is nicely decorated and clean. Typical Thai decorations and accents on the wall. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and toasted tortillas and both were very good! Tortillas were especially yummy! Crispy crunchy goodness! Fried rice had a nice curry flavor and the pineapples added just the right bit of sweetness! Today I had chicken larb, medium hot. My tongue is nicely burning right now lol. Their medium hot is actually medium hot and not an "American medium hot". Very nice flavors in the larb!

I will definitely be visiting this place often! Friendly service AND good...
