We recently ate here for the first time due to a friend recommending it due to it’s great tasting authentic food. At first glance it’s a simple shop with decorations that reflect the Mexican culture and cuisine.
We order ahead and even ordered some drinks when we got there, overall our bill for chips two burritos and drinks came to around ~$50
Service was decent. Once we received our food my burrito was already split in half length wise down the burrito from being overstuffed, and just too many beans. My partners did not have this problem, once I showed the workers at the front the problem. They seemed confused or hesitant to say anything and one gentleman did offer the refund but due to eating part of the burrito I kindly declined as they did work hard to make the food - and it was tasty but if it was made neater it probably would have been better. After the burrito conversation I asked for a refill on my sodas - I was quite surprised to pay $3 for a fountain drink with no refill.
Sadly this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope and know it’s not like this for everyone, but I drove from Sausalito but will not...
Read moreI was excited to find some Pupusas nearby, I ordered 1 taco de Asada, 2 pupusas revueltas. Growing up I had a lot of the real deal pupusas from Salvadoran close family friends, they were amazing! Unfortunately what I ordered here, Sadly, Curtido tasted like vinegar and cabbage thrown together, pupusas were small, very minimal flavor. Not much chicharron to boast that revuelta taste, they did have a spicy clear salsa in a bottle that added flavor to pupusas and pretty much saved the flavor and my lunch. Asada taco was full of hard fat, hard old meat, not good at all. I would return being that it wasn’t horrible but, they could improve on their size portion and asada taco meat quality...
Read moreCame here passing through the area with my family and my wife was really craving some pupusas. Staff was friendly and we didn't have to wait long. I ordered a Shrimp burrito and my wife ordered a few pupusas, and we split an order of fried platanos. Food arrived quick enough. The burrito was a little on the small side, I finished it and would have still been hungry if not for the platanos. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the much larger burritos they sell all over SF. Tasted good though. I really liked the hot sauces they have for the restaurant. Pupusas were tasty but also lacking in...
