My husband and I used to love going to Sonic. Now, we will never be going back to another Sonic again. Time and time again lately we have had multiple issues with our orders at this particular Sonic. These issues range from, but are not limited to:
incorrect food adjustments (allergies) smashed up food (stuck to containers, upside down coneys) incorrect drinks (often with my Arnold Palmers, but it has happened to other drinks as well) phones never being answered incredibly watery slushes (I know we're in a desert, but c'mon)
And I'm sure my husband could name more were he not currently going back to get the order corrected.
Again.
Never again will we be returning to this establishment. My husband just returned without having received any aid despite going to a completely empty establishment. I will be adding never recommending this place nor any other Sonic in this area or any other area ever again to my list of things.
Pictured is the the most recent coney we received. Not upside down, but smashed on its side stuck to the hot-dog boat making it entirely inedible. I'd ask for a full refund, but I'm afraid I'll have to wait 5-7 business days just to get to someone on the phone.
I'm not usually that person, but I'd leave no stars were it an option.
In all my years of working food service, I would NEVER let food leave the establishment in this state. Sad, really. No more Sonic Drive-In ever again. Not for me, or anyone I know.
UPDATE: My husband attempted to go back a second time only to be told that the order can be cancelled through the app. They didn't even offer to replace the inedible food or refund the order. I am now going to be contacting the regional manager to file a formal complaint against Sonic Drive-In #3893 and I recommend all the other 1-star reviews I have seen recently to do the same.
UPDATE 2: We have just now noticed our under-cooked fries. My husband is currently re-frying them himself. I am now absolutely appalled. Expect my complaint to also be going up to Sonic HQ. I am now incredibly concerned about how the food is being handled here if I'm getting...
Read moreWe had a coupon that wasn’t working properly so the manager came out and said she would manually discount it. Once we got our receipt, the discount wasn’t on there, so we called her again and she said she would just give us a full refund. She printed out a receipt that looked like it had a refund for the milkshake and she said it would return to our account in 2 days. After 10 days, it still wasn’t there. Honestly, now that I look at it again, the receipt looks like she attempted to refund it in cash, but she never brought us cash, and since we paid with card she said it would be returned to our account, which makes sense. so we tried to call the number on the receipt as well as the number on their website (which was the same number) and it constantly said the number was disconnected. We tried about 5x over a 2 day period. How can a restaurants number be disconnected? We called the number on sonics website for customer service and they told us that if we didn’t order through the app they couldn’t help us, but they would let upper management know and they could get ahold of management at the restaurant and they would have them call us. 5 days later and we still haven’t received a call from this locations management. We were only visiting Las Cruces (looking to move there) but we live in California so we can’t even drive back to the restaurant to demand our refund! What a SCAM! We still intend to move there next month, but I surely won’t be visiting this one again unless somehow, miraculously, they get ahold of us...
Read moreThis incident happened a couple weeks ago but it speaks to the type of service they have. We ordered on our app. Arrived about 10 minutes later. Checked in at a stall and waited for another 20 minutes for our food after checking in. I hit the call light at the stall, and no one bothered to pick up, not even to take an order. I called the number, and it rang until I got a disconnect. No one answered. I had to go to the doors and ask them for my food, which I saw sitting, waiting. The person told me that someone would bring it to me. I told her I wanted it now because I had already wasted enough time waiting on a wacky pack and drinks. I told them we sat there, call button wasn't answered and no one picked up the phone. The "manager" finally brought my kids cold food and our melted drinks and shushie and said nothing. Not a word. Just haphazardly lobbed a bag and drink carrier in my direction. While walking away I observed what I assume to be another "manager" that was talking to a customer at a stall about the order they had been waiting over 30 mins for.
