UPDATE: I didn't feel like getting extremely dressed up to go to one of those four dollar sign steakhouses, so my wife and I opted to visit this restaurant again on 5 Apr 2024. Also, it's been a while since we last visited this restaurant, so we were due for a revisit. There's only one major change from my original review which will unfortunately result in a drop to the overall rating. As always, the visit was great with respect to customer service; however, this was my first time trying their crab legs and those were definitely not my favorite crab legs I've ever experienced (slightly overcooked). Obviously it was still edible but at the current price point (market price), I would expect a sizable amount and higher quality crab legs. Don't get me wrong, it didn't ruin my night or anything, but i figured it was worth the mention. Also, both of our filets were overcooked, but the flavor was still welcoming.

Overall, still a good restaurant and a steakhouse I am continually going to recommend to everyone! I realized that after my initial visit here, I wrote a review on Yelp, but failed to do so on Google. So after our 6th visit, I figured it's time to write a review on here. Whenever my family and I come to this restaurant, we enjoy walking up to the outdoor, country-type (Western) scenery; it never seems to gets old. I enjoy the change once in a while from the typical, high-end, glamorous Vegas steakhouses. Sometimes, we're greeted by a lot of cats roaming the area (they must get some food scraps at the end of the night or something), but sometimes they're not around. Regardless, my daughter enjoys seeing those cats. Whenever we get seated, we get to pass the grill that's cooking all the different cuts of meat...such a great sight to see if you're a carnivore like me. Normally, we don't order any appetizers because I get myself prepped for the 32 oz New York Strip. No, that is not a type-o....I meant it all....32 ounces of pure, slab of cow!!! The cool thing about it is if you eat all of the steak, you get a free dessert! Though I'm not a dessert fan, it was a great deal for my family. I was especially shocked on how great the flavor and tenderness were on the steak, considering the size of it.

My family and I have also tried the 16 oz Grande Filet, 8 oz Filet Mignon, Au Natural Salmon, 16 and 22 oz Ribeye during our previous visits and all were great! It might be wrong to say the decor is a bit dated, but if I had pick something to change about this restaurant, it would be to update some of the furniture/fabric and carpet. Also, creating some outdoor seating would be awesome, if feasible - the location is definitely perfect for outdoor dining in my opinion. Overall, good service and great food. Thanks for...

I've been here before and hoped other reviews were wrong. Brought my family here for moms 82 birthday dinner. I know this is not a glamorous place and country/southern is not bad. However, as you can see by the pictures this place should probably be closed down. That was the ceiling right above our table. The owners don't seem to care trying to remember decades past maybe.

Service is near non-existent and could not get anything right. Was not too busy when we were seated. After being seated for 10 minutes a server finally came by for drinks. Getting the drinks took to long as well. Iced tea was brought with no sweetener and none was offered as she disappeared. Another length of time and server comes by with salads so I asked for sweetener so we could finally drink. Came with more salads for the test of the table and forgot the sweetener. The soup tonight was lobster bisque and 2 of yours thought that should be good hear. Well it was not, there is no way to convince me this was not from a can. If was so thick and paste like, the lumps turned out not to be lobster but the pastev with no flavor. The bread is actually toast with a little butter, cheese and maybe garlic. So far nothing appetizing. Speaking of appetizers we order the calamari and crab stuffed mushrooms. Well after waiting a really long time the entrees came. The table was shocked as we looked at each other, so I spoke up and said we aren't getting the appetizers?. The server asked if we ordered any and checked her order pad, then realized we did add if we still wanted them, 🤔 no. The entrees we're edible but not hot, steaks were not sizzling. Rice pilaf had hard grains. No one wanted to take the chance or time on dessert. Really sad and horrible experience. I was embarrassed and upset with myself taking my mother here. You might think that a place that touts they are the oldest steak house in Vegas, 1955, that they should be able to get a good well prepared meal out of the kitchen. I know that the pandemic has hurt a lot of businesses and it's hard to have enough employees, but this was NOT the case. The cost to eat here demands better. Can't recommend coming here, you can get better all around from Fire Rock or their little brother Texas...

I had never been here before but was curious about the place. The location is visible from the highway I was curious to give it a try. My boyfriend and I like trying new places so we gave it a shot. It’s a unique place but it’s not kept up. The wagon outside looks like it’s from the local junk yard just like some of the bar stools they sat us on. They don’t take care of the place and it shows. They didn’t even seat us at a floor table in the bar area and there were about 5 tables readily available. They offered a bar top table with ripped up cushions instead. I guess that’s how they like to welcome their new guest. We did not have reservations so we agreed to sit wherever. The server was very nice and polite but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. The calamari was served cold. The steaks were not cooked to our request and the food had little to no flavor. I cook a better steak in my air fryer with texas seasonings. My experience was less than 2 stars ⭐️ I left disappointed from the food and it was overpriced. I get a steak not being perfect by request but calamari thats is served cold and probably not served at the right temperature is unforgiving.🤬Do your self a favor and go to another establishment where the food is better quality and it’s not over priced. When we left we pointed out all the tables that were supposedly reserved. I think this place survives off of its location because it’s off the busy highway and seems unique. Though the place is one of a kind it isn’t because of the outstanding food. It a hillbilly steak house in a residential neighborhood and has a western vibe. It felt like a family owned restaurant that is supported by loyal local patrons. I have no idea 🤷‍♀️ why the food was below average but for us this will be our last rodeo at the Ranch house. I’m sure the dogs will be happy with the left overs because we won’t be eating them. The staff was not so friendly besides the server and the food was barely edible to rate this place higher than 3 is hog wash.🐖😂Maybe we just went on a bad day but the place...

Update We are starting to make this place a regular. The rack of lamb is actually a full rack, eight bones! Their steaks are always delicious. The filet and lobster is a very good deal, and delicious. The roasted vegetables on the side were very tasty, as well as the mushrooms. We always get very good service here. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy. Older Being our first visit to this place, we were excited to try it. A friendly greeter immediately seated us upon entry. We asked a few questions, but the server didn't know any of the answers. However, she went back and made sure to get the proper answers. The interior was a little dark, but very homey. There was western decor throughout, an inviting atmosphere. We both ordered NY steaks, one medium, one medium rare; both arrived slightly overcooked. But, not so much to complain, as the meat was tasty and juicy, obviously quality meat. Were our steaks "cut from the finest beef available in the United States" as stated on their menu? Nope. First of all, they are choice grade. How do I know? I asked. They don't serve prime grade or wagyu. So, I'm hoping the manager changes that phrasing, because it is incorrect and misleading. Their quality meat cooked over a mesquite grill speaks for itself. They don't need to lie about anything. Their steaks are delicious! Our server recommended their house potatoes, but I didn't like them. Fortunately, she swapped them out for roasted mixed vegetables. Their salads were simple, but good, and so was their house made blue cheese dressing. The twice baked potato was delicious. The cheesy garlic bread was served on under-toasted Texas toast. But, it was still good. It really should have been toasted a lot more, though. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I look forward to returning to try more of their other steaks!
