Nowhere on their web site does it mention friendly customer service, or anything geared to how they value their customers. The fact is that would be false advertising because their manager Yolanda leads the example of what NOT to do with a dissatisfied customer.
You will also note that they do not reply to customers who have had a bad experience on Yelp and rarely reply on Google. Most businesses who value their reputation and strive to be better will respond with at least an apology or invite the customer back so they can "make things right".
Yolanda, you know exactly what you did to me this morning. You literally made me repeat my problem with my previous order 3 times. Each time you giggled condescendingly as I calmly repeatedly myself. When you finally went to pull my order, you continued to mock me. I finally had enough of you and your attitude and told you to stop giggling at my problem and I stormed out. No, I won't be back. In the meantime, an apology to a customer is always better than making things worse by belittling them in front of your staff and other customers.
As far as the problem? I walked in and asked for 4 everything bagels and asked for one to be free because the previous time I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel, there was not a single raisin in it. Is that too difficult to understand Yolanda? Is that too much of a request for you? How you would handle a bigger problem such as messing up a huge catering order is the more frightening question.
Yolanda, your name is mentioned more than once on Google's one-star reviews. Maybe you need a vacation or find a job where you don't have to deal with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy parent's have been ordering the best bagels, deli meats, tuna/egg/chicken salad, and pastries from here for many years...however; what prompted me to write this review (wish they had 10 STARS!!) was their catering service. Tyra, the catering coordinator, who organized and made all the platters is a gem!!! Not only was she a pleasure to work with but her platters were amazing! They were put together with love and it showed!! She went above and beyond for us and words can't express how much we appreciate her. We had a Celebration of Life for my dad and brother and everyone was raving about the food spread. Unfortunately, because I was a bit occupied emotionally, I didn't take pictures that really do it justice. At least I took 1! We ordered way too much food (but that was my fault not knowing how many people would show up). Here's everything we ordered: meat platter (turkey, ham, corned beef, pastrami and roast beef), cheese platter, tuna and egg salad platter and a lox platter (I think they call it a Nova platter). They came with loaves of bread ( we ordered rye, sourdough and sliced challah), tons of bagels (with choice of cream cheeses. We selected regular, lite scallion and veggie), and all the lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, capers, pickles/olives, condiments (mustard, deli mustard, mayo and Russian dressing) along with sides like potato and macaroni salads and coleslaw. We also ordered a beautifully done veggie with dip platter and fresh fruit platter. And for dessert a rugelach variety platter and cookie pastries platter. Again BIG thank you and I HIGHLY recommend catering your next event from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAnyone who would have a complaint about the bagels at Life's a Bagel doesn't have a clue about how a quality bagel should look, taste, chew, toast, or smell. Having lived in New York for the first ten years of my life, I know when I walk into a delicatessen, it's of first-rate quality by the smell of the bagels. I have lived in New York, where the best delis are. Or, where the delicatessens used to be best. I then lived in Los Angeles, where there are more transplanted New Yorkers than Californians; therefore, almost (if not more) great delis than in New York.
Life's a Bagel is a New York-style, California-quality delicatessen located in Las Vegas. The only one, and I've been to every single deli in search of the best bagels in Las Vegas. I hate to sound like a bagel snob, but Life's a Bagel is hands down the best place to get your bagel fix for hundreds of miles around. Their rugelach and mixed cream cheese (Nova cream cheese in particular) are the very best. My granddaughter loved their cookies, so they must be good, too. And everything is reasonably priced.
What else can you ask of a...
