CHEN'S EXPRESS - LAUREL — Restaurant in Laurel

On 3-4 at approximately 630pm I went thru drive thru and ordered one entree plate with bbq chicken. When I pulled up to drive thru window I saw teenage girl with braces scooping white rice into to go container. After she put spatula down she reached into container with bare fingers and ate some of the rice. She then proceeded to steam table and added to chicken. She then brings container that she out of to the drive thru window. I asked her if she was seriously going to serve food that she put her dirty hands into and ate out of to customer. She apologized and said she was new and “couldn’t help herself.” She offered to remake food and not charge me. I declined, if she openly does this in front of customer, what is she doing when customer is not watching? It looked like a bunch of teenagers were working. I called today and asked to speak to a manager, only to be told there wasn’t one working and there would not be until Friday or Saturday. I will not return to this restaurant and I will warn my family and friends...

Food was okay I could tell it was off and greasy. My mom and boyfriend both said their food was greasy. It gave my dad a stomach ache so bad we thought he was gonna end up with food poisoning not gonna lie. The orange chicken was sitting in oil as well for all 4 of our meals. The noodles were incredibly oily and greasy they just didn’t taste right. Everything tasted off and just like not right. Also when I was ordering I was just trying to speak up so they could hear me and the guy he was blonde and said it was his first day on the job said don’t yell at me it’s my first day and was over all rude to me and then proceeded to drench my rice and orange chicken in sauce after I politely said no. He said it was policy. How is someone having a preference on food policy. It ruined the food overall to be honest. I’ve been going here for at least more then six months now and every time I’ve had good service there and the people are friendly, the atmosphere is pretty chill though most people order to go cus it is after all a fast food restaurant though I have dined in a couple times as well, I really like the food too it tastes good and would choose this food over McDonald’s or Wendy’s any day, bbq chicken is my favorite along side with bajing beef, my mom also really likes the noodles and bbq chicken, best times I would suggest even with most restaurants is get the food before the latter hours for especially don’t get fast food last minute/hour, people get tired and wanna go home and food is lower in quality cus there trying to get the last amount out before closing, all in all for a fast food joint I say 4-5 star...
