This place was really good. I ordered the fish and chips and substituted the fries for onion tangles, which are thinly sliced lightly breaded strings of fried onions. Both were excellent. The meal came with a salad which featured mushrooms, an ingredient often missing from most restaurant side salads. I chose the cusabi dressing, something I had never heard of before. It was a creamy horseradish/cucumber concoction which really set the salad off. As an appetizer I had an order of hippy hash; a wonderful combination of shredded potatoes, garlic, onion and spinach tossed with red quinoa and pan fried to perfection. My wife ordered the bacon cheeseburger and found the quality of the beef to be absolutely fantastic in comparison to burgers she has had elsewhere and was also impressed with the pub style bun. Upon ordering her hot tea, she was delighted after being presented with a small case filled with various teas from which she was allowed to pick several. If you find yourself travelling through or near Laurelville, Ohio I highly recommend stopping by and...

The food has always been good here but as of recently they have made it known that their price for running credit card has went up so therefore they're going to pass it on to their customers instead of eating it themselves like it's our fault and our responsibility. That could be dealt with if you didn't have to pay $18 for a breakfast sandwich and a what typically would be a $6 breakfast that has slices of toast not even a quarter inch thick in the bread was smaller than the palm of my hand. Two small eggs two really small pieces of toast two normal pieces of bacon and one potatoes worth of home fries and a scoop of gravy Plus their 6$ breakfast sandwich for $18 is ridiculous if you want my honest opinion go to the village Cafe around the corner you can get the same food but on a bigger portion for about eight bucks less. The first two photos are from The ridge inn for 18 bucks and the second two photos are from village Cafe. For around 12 bucks doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out whose...

Yum!!!! You have to try this place! My husband and I are disappointed in a lot of places, even pricey places. This was absolutely delicious! I had the Reuben which was fresh and delicious, my husband the bourbon chicken special and again spectacular! The owner stepped away to talk to us and shared her passion and desire to provide fresh ingredients—which I can appreciate completely! Don’t forget to try the fresh “warm” donuts, you can tell made with love ❤️

**UPDATE! I hate this! Ugh. Well my family drove 45 minutes back to have this experience and it was NOT the same :(. Chicken nuggets were cold in the middle, few fries per plate, drink order was not right, food was just bland. :( it was very disappointing. Will say the owner and her daughter were not working and I think they really make this place magical. Without them it’s ran like your at a typical Laurelville diner. I think they need to be careful who they hire. I know it’s difficult right now, but this was night and day! Sorry to change...

I've driven PAST this place dozens of times. Never Again. It's truly Appalachian Wonderfulness. When exploring the Hocking Hill Country it's an absolute Must-Do. WARNING: if the Soup-of-the-Day is "Steak and Ale," order just a cup if you plan on having an entree. It's such a hearty soup (not to mention TOTALLY delicious) you won't have room for anything else. The "Bourbon Chicken" has a deep 'sweet and sour' taste that begins VERY strong but softens quickly, leaving a near addictive after taste. Be sure to check out the wall art. It's all for sale, and pretty good to boot. "The Hills" have a LOT of hidden treasures. This is a culinary one. (ps... if you plan your trip in October, this place becomes Standing Room Only)
