This is a small town cafe. We decided to tryout their dinner selection after visiting Hocking Hills. I had ordered the Chicken Platter with mashed potatoes. I ate the mashed potatoes first. Then I took a bite of the chicken and spit it back out onto my plate. It was COLD! I mean freezing. I figured it my just be that piece of chicken but I was wrong as I opened up another piece it was cold as well. I had my daughter verify by touching the inside of the second one. I told the waitress about this issue and let her know that I had spit it out and that my daughter even touched it to verify she took the plate back to the kitchen. A few moments later they bring me the same dirty plate with the same pieces of chicken that I had bitten into and ripped open. Once everyone was done eating I let the cashier know if the issue and they still charge me for my food. I wasn't very happy to...
Read moreAlways a good sign when a restaurant is full of locals. You walk in and seat yourself and the friendly staff will give you menus. The special that day was fried chicken, kind of sad I missed the beans and cornbread special, but breakfast was amazing. Got the stacker on of the fluffiest biscuits I've ever eaten split open topped with over medium eggs and smothered with cheddar and sausage gravy with a mountain of crispy home fries. They were more like super thick potatoes chips, lots of crispy with a little fluff. So good for sopping up gravy and egg yolk. For sweet treats they had pancakes and french toast, and I recommend getting the blackberry syrup and whipped cream on them. The decorating of the place seems stuck in time, but so are the prices, it's a small town gem that supports the community but they seemed happy to have us visiting as we were with the food...

Not like any chicken or turkey gravy I had ever seen. Maybe it came straight of a can just like the green beans did, they had no seasoning at all. The worst part of the meal was the very dry and hard dressing. I understand dressing having the cooked edge from the pan but this was overly hard and they gave me mostly edge pieces. The bit that was not hard was very dry. I cannot speak for the other menu items but I would think twice before ordering...
