We are newer to the area and discovered this little hidden gem and have no idea why we were the only people there on a Saturday for supper at 530p ,
This place is easy to find easy to park and spotless clean inside from the dining area to the bathrooms.
The Service was as well expected welcoming ,sweet and homey, made you feel as if you were at your Mama's for dinner, The food was beyond good we had the Mam's Basket for our Appetizer it comes with onion pedals, fried mushrooms and fried cheese curds oh my.. could eat that all by itself with just a sweet tea to chase . Hubby had the Squatch Burger the slaw on it was creamy n refreshing and the burger n pork is so tender n done to perfection don't forget the fork though that burger is for sure not a Hands eaten kind of Burger this thing is a mammoth burger, I had the Mac n Cheese n Pork Sandwich but I got it without the bun in a bowl. It did not disappoint its creamy, cheesey and the pulled pork was tender and the BBQ Sauce was so perfect for our Tennessee/ ohio transplanted souls. We love BBQ sauce on everything.
If you're in the area of Laurelville Ohio you need to stop it will not disappoint, if you are not in there area you need to be.
We even had a sweet little dance after dinner Great night in our Forever home of...
Read moreThe crowd looked mostly local. I was from out of town and just driving through. The young teenager host/waitress was very nice and friendly and greeted me promptly. I got the rib eye sandwich, side of fries, and a coffee. The bun was not the right size (hamburger type bun) for the rib eye that was much longer than it was wide. The rib eye itself was a little overdone but tasty enough if a bit bland/dry. A horseradish sauce or spread would have made it much better than the mayo packets offered. Sides do not come with sandwiches, but I ordered fries which were very good, hot, and cooked just right. The coffee was not good at all and tasted a little like it had been on the burner for a while or was just poor quality coffee. I would go again and try the hamburger made from local beef I think and pass on...
Read moreDo not order anything but burgers. The "homemade Mac & Cheese" is gummy and taste like a boxed mix. Husband ordered the Queso Chicken and the sauce and salsa were either old or straight out of a can...like raw tomatoes. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich. It was just ok-out of a package or box I suppose. There is nothing unique or fresh at this restaurant. The waitress was nice and very friendly, but slightly overworked. Only 3 folks working on a Sunday in the height of leaf peeping and Sunny weather. The bathrooms were clean, but the women's was out of soap. Almost every other patron and table ordered some sort of burger, so they must be really good. We never saw our bill so not sure if we paid for what we got or not. Just gave credit card and no explanation for...
